Striking photo of President McInness. She started July 1 at $695,000...base salary. HC benefits from having a Jesuit as President.

I can't find her marital status, but you two Educators are contemporaries with much in common. She graduated summa cum laude from UVA in 1988 and you graduated sine cum laude from HC in 1987. Only kidding. If McInnis is her maiden name she is a fine representative of the Scottish Highlands. Very impressive resume in Academia. HC could do a lot worse when Fr. B. hangs them up, which I personally hope is not soon.

Dr. McInnis is married to her husband, Dean, and has two children who are now 20 and 16.

Stony Brook is a state school with around 26k students so no clue why them using their wait list is a big deal to you guys.

A couple of posts noted the SBU prez (whose predecessor moved on to be prez of Michigan State University). SBU got great press for landing her...hopefully they can hold on to her for several years.

Having grown up on Long Island before SUNY Stony Brook existed and lived not far from it after it's creation, I can't fathom the obsession about the school. Excellent academic school but really?
