HC won at Lafayette in 2006 by a score of 38-28 when Dom had his coming out party. Just saying.

peter who? is wade pp's successor? best tackling by hc within memory. excellent coaching. Ibid. And I would even say a masterful, borderline genius coaching effort by the smart guys from Worcester, MA, the birthplace of modern rocketry and the home of the Pullman diner. HC not the only team in MA to win with their 3rd string QB. This was ALL COACHING. Kill Bucknell! Kill Harvard!

Didn't get to watch all of the game. From what I did see:
Wade: for a third string QB making his first start, good poise and presence, strong arm, and IMO, quicker feet than PP. Quite surprised at the variety of plays that were in the playbook for this game, almost as if the staff were saving them for PL play.
Defense: didn't allow the big plays, which, again IMO, has been their nemesis this year (and other years too)..
The schedule ahead. Colgate has Lehigh next weekend. Cornell put up 454 passing yards against Colgate. Colgate could be 1-4 after next Saturday. Fordham should not lose to Monmouth. Lehigh looks like the team to beat.

We may have covered this before, but is Connor related to the Degenhardt (not that common a name) who played for us in 1983 & 1985?

BF with the most rushes, rushing yards, and receptions. He's our best player.
Win next week, and all of a sudden it's a very different season than what it looked like heading into today.

We were down 10 points at half time I believe and hadn't won't at Lafayette in something like 10 years up until then. Some unreal catches down that stretch and we were able to contain a very good Andy Romans. Brett McDermott (who I work with) as well as with another Lehigh LB I work with were actually talking about this last night.

Jonathan Hurt ran up and down the field on Lafayette's first two possessions, and HC trailed 14-0 early on, I think. Then the offense aired it out the rest of the game; Lafayette had no answer. A big play in that game was Randy Wright forcing a fumble on a kickoff. 2008 was also fun!

Didn't even watch today...a first in a long while....kudos to the kids for a nice win but I'm so sick of hearing how kids from Massachusetts can't help HC in football....kids from Massachusetts have almost always been the basis for good HC football teams.

We've been through this many, many times. No one is saying that Mass kids cannot help HC football--only that the facts show that Massachusetts produces very, very few D-1 players relative to its population.

There are a lot of good players that HC could have had from Massachusetts, NH, RI and Conn if we had scholarships from 1992-2014...trust me....we have to open that pipe-line up again if we are really serious about football and not just filling out the rostah from far-flung states for admission statistics.

On the O-Team bus en route home, between Danbury and Waterbury. Great jubilation in the locker room post game, both coaches and players. I was delighted to lead a prayer on an occasion when we all had smiles on our faces. Great elan in the bus, both yesterday and today. PP has been a very active force as sidelined captain. On to Fitton!

Undefeated in the Patriot League so far!! Wade was a lot more than a "serviceable" QB today. With experience, he will get even better. Defense made some key plays and the fumble recovery for TD sealed the deal. While we lost a 13-0 lead, came back and lost it again, it seems to have been a long while that we entered a fourth quarter behind in the scoreboard and pulled out a win. Kudos to to the boys and to the coaches for trying different things on offense (Flaherty in the wildcat, for example). DW still not the answer for runs up the middle for short yardage. He had one big run but that was early when the OL made a hole about 5 yards wide that I could have made a first down.

Really don't understand the need to throw in a gratuitous negative comment about DW and then minimize our second longest play of the day. He's not a big dude. He's not going to move the pile. So what? He's a big play kid who delivered a big play yesterday. Yes, the hole was huge but why single him out for negative commentary? If we need a bruiser and don't have one, that's a recruiting issue, not a DW issue. And I don't mean to single you out 1970 as I know you're a good fan and man. It's just become fashionable to pile on DW and it drives me a little crazy. Sorry for the rant.

Your comment is probably accurate but was not intended as criticism of Walker who I have no doubt is doing his best and probably a fine young man. The criticism was intended as criticism of calling plays that are inherently designed to fail. When you have to make 2-3 yards, running up the middle with an undersized back over and over is wrong strategy, IMHO. Sometimes you need a runner who when the OL and DL neutralize one another, can move the pack.
