Some of us won't be regardless of the rules...200k deaths, it's dangerous out there. If you're allowed do what you're comfortable with, as long as you have a mask and distance yourself

So you’re telling me we will not be attending no basketball games at all this coming season I'm saying that is my guess based on public statements made by Governor Baker. I will clarify that the question at hand was watching games at Luth. A week and 1/2 ago the KC Chiefs played in 1/4 full stadium while the Patriots played in an empty stadium. Rules will vary state to state. The OOC schedule, if it happens at all, will probably be a thrown together mess depending on who will and will not play. Still pure speculation, but I think I'm more likely to see HC in person this season at UNH or Dartmouth than I am at Hart. If the state isn't allowing fans in an outdoor venue, the state won't be letting them inside This is nothing official, just one man's interpretation of publicly released statements. Most on this board will be surprised to know that I have been wrong before. I hope this is another case of me being wrong

Since you used a double negative, I guess you think there will be fans inside the Hart for basketball. My optimistic guess (not a prediction!), is that there will be no fans allowed initially, then if a vaccine actually happens before the end of the season and given to at least highly vulnerable folks, they'll allow maybe 25% capacity - which may be everyone who wants to attend after last season . I'd expect even under those conditions, masks will be required and social distancing inside the Hart scrupulously enforced. Probably no food sold at the concession stand(s) but that wouldn't be news. Now the question is: will Holy Cross even attempt to sell basketball season tickets knowing that attendance is at best a long shot and almost impossible for an entire season? Maybe sell full season tickets with the caveat that any games where attendance is not allowed, the ticket holder agrees those costs go to the Crusader Athletics Fund as a donation and no refund. Lesson learned from football?!

Re: fans, the only fans at the Luth will be students. Students are tested twice a week. The college requires all students who are on-campus to wear their ID on a lanyard, so they can readily spot anyone on-campus who shouldn't be there. That is not going to change in the spring semester.
Whether there will be some accommodation for family members of competing athletes, who knows. Maybe they could put them in the Bud Ryan room and the class of '62 conference room, both overlook the court.

Anyone know where I can get a fake HC ID so I can get into the Hart to watch games? Just askin'
Willing to swap my driver's license for an HC ID but suspect even the loosest package stores might suspect a college-aged student doesn't look like a 70+ year old.

About 8 years ago, I went to see HC at Fairfield, which for some strange reason was at on campus alumni gym. The game was sold out but I managed to acquire a Fairfield student ID and got in

For college students, age is very different than it is for high schools - a far broader range of dates...and less checking for accuracy. I had underrdads as old as 80+ in some of my classes.

A fair point is brought up earlier in the thread.
Will students who are tested twice a week be allowed to go to games? Can they sit within 6 feet if they're clean?

Even with a Fairfield student ID, I am surprise you got in for the beginning of the game. It was rather chaotic at the entrance. Do you still have the ID?😎

I returned it to the student who owned it I might be a thief (stealing the services of watching a game, but I'm an honorable thief)
