Does this mean no more watching the games unless I choose to pay for the privilege? Yes, unless you want to attend them in person, which will cost you more.

With Stadium, there was ability to watch archived games from several weeks to over a month plus after the game concluded. Does anyone know how long the ESPN + archive will be available for review?
Also with the ESPN partnership, has the NESN contract been concluded?
Another question I have will both revenue and non revenue sports be televised, Field Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Baseball and Softball? If not, this may not be a positive move for those who enjoy watching the spectrum of sports that HC provides.

Love the stones on ESPN to have me pay a premium to get their channels on cable, but then pay more for an app and special pages on their website.

I have ESPN+ and have looked to see if there are any UFC replays available a couple of times and there doesn't seem to be any when I look.

I think the PLN can fill in and provide good coverage of minor sports and I think there is a logic for NESN broadcasts to continue because that Network is owned jointly by the Red Sox and Bruins and the Bruins season generates less content than the Sox, so they need extra programming during the baseball off-season and New England College sports are a perfect fit. Hopefully ESPN has a "first dibs" clause in the contract and if they aren't covering a game they won't prohibit NESN from showing it.

Last fall I purchased a 1 year subscription (after prying open my wallet wearing a dust mask) for a special price of $40. Not sure when it runs/ran out, but I'm sure it will cost more than that this year.
I know they keep the replays for at least a few days (Sunday night was my night to binge watch games from the mid major leagues). Don't think they have them much longer than that.

The Patriot League has reached a multi-year agreement that makes ESPN+ the exclusive digital home for live and archived Patriot League sporting events, starting with the 2020-21 academic year. ESPN+ will be home to more than 800 annual events, including college football games, and men’s and women’s basketball contests.
“The Patriot League has been among the leaders within intercollegiate athletics for its live streaming production with its robust and high-quality live digital programming for more than a decade,” said Patriot League Commissioner Jennifer Heppel. “We are thrilled to work with ESPN+ to showcase Patriot League student-athletes on this leading sports streaming platform.”
The agreement also includes regular-season coverage of Patriot League men’s and women’s lacrosse in addition to regular and post-season coverage of Patriot League baseball, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, softball and volleyball, in addition to championship coverage of other League sports.
Since launching its digital programming in the fall of 2006, the Patriot League has offered thousands of live events and on-demand videos. Annually, the Patriot League broadcasts more than a dozen of its championships.
The first event involving a Patriot League school this fall is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, when Navy hosts Pittsburgh in a women’s soccer contest (2 p.m. ET).
“The Patriot League has a proud academic and athletic history featuring so many great institutions and rivalries, which we will showcase on ESPN+ through this new multi-year agreement,” said Burke Magnus, ESPN Executive Vice President, Programming Acquisitions and Scheduling. “As a Holy Cross alum, I am personally very excited about the opportunity to watch my alma mater play among the more than 800 annual events that this deal includes.”
In addition to the Patriot League, ESPN+ has agreements with more than 20 leading college athletic conferences, offering fans thousands of live events from the Big 12, AAC, America East, ASUN, Atlantic 10, Big South, Conference USA, ECAC Hockey, Horizon, The Ivy League, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, NEC, Ohio Valley, Southern, Southland, Summit, Sun Belt, WAC and more.
Beyond college sports, ESPN+ programming features exclusive UFC and Top Rank boxing events, MLB and NHL games, top professional domestic and international soccer, Grand Slam tennis, international and domestic rugby and cricket, and more, as well as exclusive ESPN+ Original series, acclaimed studio shows and the full library of ESPN’s award-winning 30 for 30 films.
For just $5.99 a month (or $49.99 per year), ESPN+ subscribers will get approximately 800 live Patriot League sporting events, along with thousands of live events and original programming not available on ESPN’s linear TV or digital networks, as well as the full library of 30 for 30 documentaries and ESPN Films.
ABOUT THE PATRIOT LEAGUE
The Patriot League is in its fourth decade of academic and athletic achievement, continually demonstrating that student-athletes can excel at both academics and athletics without sacrificing high standards. The Patriot League’s athletic success is achieved while its member institutions remain committed to its founding principle of admitting and graduating student-athletes that are academically representative of their class. Participation in athletics at Patriot League institutions is viewed as an important component of a well-rounded education.

Move up to an N-95 mask and a Moth Guard this year. It's $49.99 now and the monthly charge has been increased to $5.99. Maybe they have a retention special for existing customers and they do have a bundle with Disney+ and Hulu (?).

Thanks Breezy for the release from the PL.
Glad to see Burke Magnus was involved in the negotiations. Wish he will use his influence to provide a special HC discount. 😄
With the often quality and consistency issues with Stadium regarding their stream, app and archive the past couple of years, the production with ESPN should be superior to Stadium.
I guess we got what we paid for with Stadium. 🤔

They archive for 30 days.
Also very happy with this change, was not looking forward to watching all PL games on the PC this season, assuming a season of course

Does this mean no more watching the games unless I choose to pay for the privilege? This raises another question. If ESPN+ is now the exclusive digital home for the PL, what happens to the digital PLN? Will ESPN send their own crews to produce each game or will they simply air the PLN production? Or will it be a partnership with the announcers contracted with ESPN and the camera work done by college employees/contractors or vice versa?

It looks like we can get Disney +, Hulu, and ESPN + for $12.99 month. I already have Disney+ for $6.99 so its an extra $6 per month and I also will get Hulu which, I am told by those in the know that I really should have.
Of course, the majority of what I watch is sports and some sit com reruns. Did you know you can watch Hogan's Heroes on some channel, Sundance maybe, on Saturdays?

Did you know you can watch Hogan's Heroes on some channel, Sundance maybe, on Saturdays? There's an ABC offshoot that runs classic TV shows (including Hogan Heroes weeknights) and it's over the air. You can get it with digital rabbit ears. The ABC affiliates in both Boston and Manchester NH air it

From this part of the release, it sounds like they're just going to take the home crew broadcasts the way PLN did: Will Patriot League home games, which are televised, be available on ESPN+?All locally produced television broadcasts will be available on ESPN+. However, Patriot League contests broadcast on CBS Sports Network are not available on ESPN+.

Maybe this was mentioned, but does the PL Championship game move back to ESPN as well?
ESPN + is a much better way to watch PL games and worth every penny of the $5 a month, imho.

Based on
I'm guessing "no"
If CBS maintains rights for their game of the week, I'm sure that would include the playoffs

CBS Sports Network is not on some cable systems and I've been perusing but can't find for sure if one can stream it if you don't have it on cable. Streaming service CBS All Access ($5.99/mo.) is being rebranded as Paramount and has CBS Sports from the network and from "CBS Sports HQ" whatever that is, but no mention if it includes programming from CBS Sports Network. The industry is both bundling and de-coupling it's content at a furious pace to counter cord cutters and maintain profitable revenue streams.

Hogan's Heroes- A mainstay on TV38, which once-upon-a-time had exclusive broadcast rights for the Red Sox and Bruins! A Red Sox rain delay consisted of a never-ending loop of HH, The Odd Couple and MASH.
