Those who understand stats better than I can explain how fewer games (i.e. a smaller sample) is likely to give us funky stats. MLB.com has collected the craziest as we come down to the end of the season. www.mlb.com/news/bonkers-stats-from-2020-mlb-seasonMy favorite--Miguel Sano of the Twins has 2.3 times as many strikeouts as hits (86 v. 37) but there are some that are just crazy.

Very interesting stats indeed, most easily explained by the reduced schedule, I.e. the small sample size

The Red Sox rallied the last 10 days or so (excluding yesterdays shellacking) to bring their team ERA under 6, a hundredth of a point higher than the Tigers (but their average runs against per game is 5.96 and is not in danger of being exceeded).
They used 27 pitchers (and 3 position players) to do that. Hard to say who was the worst of that lot, but consideration has to be given to Kyle Hart, Matt Hall, Josh Taylor (a big disappointment, he was pretty good last year), Marcus Walden and Zack "Un" Godley.
Tzu Wei Lin had more sacrifice bunts (2) than 4 teams combined (the article mentioned the 4 teams). Considering he hit .156, not a bad idea.
