Totally stretching to find something HC hoops related to talk about during the zombie apocalypse known as 2020
With Billy Donavan and the Thunder parting ways, Coach Daigneault is currently unemployed. There is obvious speculation that he will follow his boss to Chicago. His name has also been mentioned on the exceedingly long list for the Thunder head job.
Without much better to talk about, any of our hoop junkies care to speculate on where/if he lands in basketball land?

I doubt he will get the Thunder head job or any head League job any time soon.

Would be an extreme longshot for the Thunder job. I suspect he will land a role in Chicago.

Just wondering why every time he changes jobs, it is a story on this forums.

Just wondering why every time he changes jobs, it is a story on this forums. He was an assistant here under Willard back in the day and believed by many here to have a very strong basketball mind. There was talk years ago that he could be a dark horse candidate for our job one of the times it was open. For some reason, that topic became a polarizing one so some are hoping he becomes an NBA head coach so they can say they were right that we should have hired him a long time ago when he was a very young coach with a non-traditional resume for a D1 head coach.

Then throw in the fact there are no HC sports happening right now to talk about. Note first and last sentences of my original post

Just wondering why every time he changes jobs, it is a story on this forums. There were two great options for the next coach at HC after the Kearney debacle: 1) Ralph Willard with Daigneault as successor 2) Daigneault as HC Instead, our the combination of our clueless President and AD led us to Milan Brown, and five seasons of .453 basketball. This then led to our next clueless AD poo-pooing the idea of bringing Kevin Willard to HC, and instead brought in Bill Carmody and four seasons of .443 basketball. In summary, Daigneault could have saved us from nine seasons of dreadful basketball and an enormous hole that Brett Nelson is now trying to pull us out of. For some on this board, Daigneault's credentials working for/with the two best coaches in HC history (RW & George Blaney) and one of the best coaches in recent college basketball history (Jim Calhoun) were not enough, and we were better off with two career sub-.500 coaches in MB & BC. And that was talking Holy Cross Basketball in the 2010s.

BBC slept in the day they taught Fallacies in Logic class. I was pleased to see this thread show up. I view an MD thread as an excellent diversion from all of the misery in our lives. I am sure that everyone here wants MD to succeed--even those of us who don't agree with BBC and the others who wanted to give him the HC head coaching job. Unless he packs this in and goes to law school or something silly like that, we ought to be able to discuss Mark's career for decades to come.

Phreek, I think you are assuming his criticism is Fr. B and more likely the darts are going in the direction of Fr. McF.
As for the AD, the slings and arrows may be directed at Dick Regan who gave us, in a cameo appearance, Sean Kearney and followed with Milan. But, maybe I'm wrong and you're right.
Certainly, a diversion kind of discussion from pandemic stuff.

RW is above reproach, that goes as well for his son.
