Clemson Wake Forest Notre Dame Louisville--Cards played much better the last two games and have home field advantage Duke North Carolina- UVA has had some tough opponents but losing 4 in a row not encouraging

Clemson (BC's had enough success this year with the kids on campus and playing ACC football -- beating the #1 team on the road ain't happening.) Wake ND VT Duke UNC

Trevor Lawrence tested positive for Covid. Could Helms start against BC?

Trevor Lawrence tested positive for Covid. Could Helms start against BC? Makes the BC game even more interesting...and of course Lawrence is now iffy for the big ND matchup given the timeline.

Clemson’s backup QB was available last week and played vs Syracuse so Helms would be a backup vs BC

/\ Clemson’s backup QB, D.J. Uiagalelei, is extraordinary talented and they’ll still be the favorite at home. At the same time BC’s QB (who played quite well while at ND before transferring this summer and who also has played very well thus far this year as BC’s starter) should be fun to watch.
Remember Anthony Brown? BC’s former star QB is now a backup hoping to win the starting job at Oregon. He started against us 2 years ago before sitting early in the debacle. Just following BC’s QB’s (first-teamers and otherwise) over the last few years is a lesson in P5 college football’s shifting personnel.

26-28 now and the ESPN computer makes Clemson 63% to win. Of course, the computer may assume Lawrence is playing

Don't know what the betting line was for the BC-Clemson game was but 34-28 loss for the Eagles and only down by 4 with about a minute and a half to go when they got the ball back after Clemson punter pinned them within the 5 yard line which resulted in the 1st play from scrimmage in a safety for the final score. An Eagle onside kick didn't work but they acquitted themselves well.

Apparently the greatest comeback by Clemson in a game played at Death Valley.

Good exposure for BC (not that they need it) playing a very close game on national TV v the top ranked team in the country. In two weeks they play host to Notre Dame.

The Eagles did look good all day (and it hurts to admit that). Congrats to all of their players and coaches.

That's OK Rob had to look at it twice to make sure I was not going to post something weird! Figured we all needed a good laugh given the times we are living in!
BC by all accounts seems to be the real deal! Kindah glad we did not have to play them today!!!
BC's number 72, the center, Lindstrom, is from Dudley, MA and went to Shepherd Hill Regional HS with my oldest grandson who is a junior at Nichols College.

Without wandering too far from the thread I see that one BC QB, a Fordham Prep Redshirt Sophomore named Matt Valecce, is now buried (3rd?/4th?) on the BC QB depth chart. I read about him when he was a talented high-schooler and I think HC offered him. The more-talented Notre Dame transfer (also a RS Soph, BTW) may have caught him off guard.
What does a kid like Valecce do in a situation like that?
