What a talent, not just for his role that defined James Bond but for his other movies as well.
With the General Discussion section shuttered, I thought our posters would not mind me putting this threads in "non-Sports"

He did star in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. So a reference on Crossports is appropriate.

If you have not seen it yet...one of his earliest movies was "The Hill." It is about a prison camp for British soldiers in North Africa in WWII. I just watched him in "Rising Sun" yesterday...also an interesting character portrayal. May his soul rest in peace.

By far, the best "James Bond" of them all! RIP!

Although he was probably the best Bond, his best (and only Oscar winning role) was probably in the Untouchables.
Also a bit of a career boost because he was kind of busy after that, but I can only think of a handful of projects between that and Bond

David Mamet (not always my cup of tea but he wrote some great stuff) wrote the screenplay for The Untouchables:
If he pulls a knife, you pull a gun. If they send one of ours to the hospital, we send one of theirs to the morgue. That's the Chicago way.

By far, the best "James Bond" of them all! RIP! Most definitely. I recall the an ad for some Bond film, which said: "Sean Connery is James Bond." My favorite Connery Bond film was Goldfinger, which I saw on a Friday night in the Kimball auditorium. I recall that when Honor Blackman said; "My name is Galore, Pussy Galore," the audience cheered and applauded. Another good line came after Bond asked Goldfinger is he expected him to talk, only to be told "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."

I remember both lines (and the audience reaction). Thanks for the reminder of good times in Kimball with Sean!

“Named after your father, perhaps” is one of my favorites
