the coaching staff has brought in a different type of player than the former staff...Good size and it appears much more physical, something we have been lacking the last few seasons! Caleb reminds me of Malachi Alexander.. Smooth, and does a lot of good things out there....I love the half hook in the lane.... Things are looking up for the 'Saders!!!

I lost count--did he have maybe 8 blocked shots on his highlight reel? I think he went right as many times as he went left. I believe he has taken out a patent on that baseline drive and reverse lay up

The I95 Coalition brought together some high level AAU teams from VA, DC, Philly and I believe NYC for weekend games in August and early September. Caleb Kenney was one of the ten standouts from week 4 of the event. At least 3-4 of the players listed among standouts were considered to be high-major prospects.
Caleb Kenney / Douglas Freeman HS/ Team Richmond / Guard-Forward / 6'6 / 2021 -
Man-child of a wing just won't fall off the map, which is a testament to his talent and focus. Kenney had another strong weekend individually while helping push Team Richmond 17U to a 2-0 mark. The athletic, versatile wing posted 17 points and 5 rebounds on 7-9 shooting in a win over DMV Sports Academy, and followed that up a few hours later with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks in a win over New World. Kenney has undoubtedly established himself as one of the better players in the Coalition.

I totally agree with this thought. Maybe I'm just looking through my purple colored glasses (it wouldn't be the first time) but I'm pretty excited about the players CBN is bringing in. Kudos to him and his staff. I only went to one game in person this past season, the game against Bucknell. HC almost won. Their effort was exemplary but they lost mostly, I think, because they got out-physicaled toward the end of the game. We've seen in people like Jehyve and Malachi the need to have talented but physical players. Everyone doesn't have to be like this but at times you have to make a physical statement. D! basketball (and that includes the PL) is very physical.

Someone once said, basketball is a contact sport, football is a collision sport.

D! basketball (and that includes the PL) is very physical. Looking at last year's big men, I think Faw was on the skinny side. Not scrawny, but skinny. However, standing next to Niego, Matt looked like a beast. When Niego stood next to Verbeek, Connor looked like a steroid injected body builder. To their credit, both Niego and Verbeek would mix it up under the boards, but they also spent a lot of time getting pushed around and knocked down

I remember being very frustrated when we played UMass Boston and couldn’t absolutely dominate their tiny lineup in the paint. Hopefully we won’t have that problem going forward.

UNH also had a 6’4” who bullied every defender we could throw at him
