Since we had some discussion on another thread about getting recruits from NJ, I thought I would stir things up a bit and share the most recent USA Today national high school football rankings. I've stipulated and made the case that great athletes can come from any state but think that you can get the biggest fish from the deepest waters. Not going to list the actual schools, just the state. If you want to know the actual schools, go to the link: 1. FL 2. TX 3. PA 4. GA 5. TX 6. TX 7. AZ 8. FL 9. GA 10. TX 11. FL 12. TX 13. AL 14. KY 15. UT 16. TX 17. IN 18. MO 19. FL 20.SC 21. CO 22. OH 23. NJ 24. AZ 25. TN www.msn.com/en-us/sports/more-sports/usa-today-sports-super-25-high-school-football-rankings-week-10/ss-BB1aHhpa?ocid=msedgntp#image=26There seems to be a clear reason why "Friday Night Lights" was depicted in Texas. Discuss.

Playing in January (or any future point) won't get you on the USA Today ranking for right now

Stepinac's played Xaverian of Westwood a couple times at least, splitting the two games I can find a record of.

Xav Westwood is in MA.
Why would a NY HS play an Eastern MA HS in FB?
There is/was a Xav HS in Bklyn.

The big north powers are now (and you pegged m most of them): Bergen Catholic St Joseph (Montvale - there are several St Joe's in NJ) Don Bosco Paramus Catholic Delbartton DePaul St Peter's Seton Hall (down a bit in the last few years)
These are all great spots for coaches on the way up.

Currently watching the Bixby HS ( Oklahoma) vs Booker T Washington HS ( Oklahoma) on ESPN. Bixby HS has a running back named Braylin Presley who gained 392 all purpose yards in the first half.

Bixby HS has a running back named Braylin Presley who gained 392 all purpose yards in the first half. 247 sports lists him with offers from Kansas, Memphis, New Mexico, and William & Mary. At 5-6 & 150 Lbs, I'm guessing he just may be fast & elusive
