Fire Gilmore right now. [Have to let go a few more assistants first. It starts at the top. The HC is responsible. Why does the HC allow the OC to continually have runs up the middle or the inane sideline bubble screen pass? It's all on the HC.
Pretty sure hcnation was using sarcasm in his post.

My two cents.
Wade looked uncomfortable, tentative, and slow-footed in the first two series, completely unlike last week. Both series ended with HC deep in its own territory.
Bell came in, and the offense was able to put 20 points on the board, could have been more, and would have been more had PP been QB.
A Pop Warner coach would have realized that Wade at QB does not pose much of a passing threat, and HC's offense has never been run-oriented, so that makes it pretty easy to defend. Which is what Bucknell did.
CTG can be faulted for not going back to Wade earlier in the second half, -- unless Wade was sick/dinged up during the week.

The product today was a total joke. We look like a HS team. Scholarships clearly have done nothing for this program. I like HCTG, he successfully brought HCFB back from the dead. However, this is the beginning of the end for him. We are just so bad at football it's pathetic. Also of note our good friends at RSIG security continue to harass alumni on baseball field. They literally wear combat boots with thier pants tucked in. ADNP: FIRE RSIG NOW! FB alumni who support the program were treated as if they were dogs. Change is needed at all levels on Fitton field. WE DESERVE BETTER (product and game day experience) GO CROSS GO.

The whole program/game experience has to be "blown up"....no one goes anymore (outside of Homecoming)....those that do go are increasingly agitated/disgruntled....some of this isn't TG's or NP's fault, HC deemphasized football in the early 1990s and we are now paying for that as we try to catch up for a "lost 25 years."

Bell was missing open receivers....by a lot. He's a pretty good runner, but you can't win with that alone. Wade was treated shabbily in light of his sterling performance last week. He deserved better.

Benching Wade after two series was senseless. He played a perfect game against Lafayette. When the best player on the field today was the punter, we have problems. Actually, Cameron had another very good game.
We needed this game to save the season. Now, it's looking like a 4-7 year, if we're lucky.

We don't need any retreads, especially a hot head who lambasts players as they come off the field. Kelly's antics are old; he should have been fired when the student died in the fall as a result of 70 mph winds while filming his practice-under his orders-but it was whitewashed all for the glory of ND football. What we need is a hungry assistant at the BCS level who wants to make a name for himself growing a winning ethical program with true student athletes.

I concur.....basically we're looking for the next Rick Carter....in all honesty, I have no idea who the "hot" young coaches are at the asst level at FBS schools or head coaches at the FCS/D2/D3 level are.
I disagree with pp here (at my peril)....I think the Holy Cross job will be highly sought after imo

TG's career record in games in which Dom Randolph did not appear is now 39-63 (.382). Really hard to fathom how he's still our head coach. Holy Cross football fans deserve better.

Take a look at the "Summary" page on ESPN.com--interesting feature is the "win probability" graph that shows each team's probability of winning as the game progresses. If you believe in this you'll note that we had an 89% probability of winning at halftime and were up to 94% with %:30 to go in the third quarter. www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=400873082

I'm out in San Diego to see my brother play so I was only able to watch the first quarter. In what seems to becoming all too common, we came out looking very strong. I was baffled when I checked ESPN only to see that we had again coughed up a W in the 4th quarter. I am actually curious how many games we have lost by 3 points or less in the last 5 years.
San Diego absolutely dismantled Davidson; 52-3 and they were laying off the entire second half. They're going to have to move out of the Pioneer conference pretty soon I think, not very competitive for them. I'm interested to see what they do against Harvard next year.

Interesting, too, was that we were 0 for 2 on game replays. Replays confirmed what I thought both times with refs getting it wrong both times. Bell throws a pass to Jordan Montgomery who scampers for apparently over 50 yards for a TD. Would have put us way up on the Bison. Instead, ball is spotted on the Bison 12 yard line. Followed by Flaherty rush for 1 yard, Walker rush for no gain and a Bell incompletion and Wasp kicks a FG, so instead of 21-0, it is 17-0. 3 plays from the 12 yard line and we gain 1 yard after points taken off the scoreboard. The second was a pass to the far sideline by Bucknell that the refs said the receiver was out of bounds and incomplete. Replay showed ref was wrong and a long gainer. Now, where will the Fitton jumbotron be placed?
