With no fans, no one will have to look at the uniforms in person

Fine...just as long as we can see those numbers on tv.

Not crazy about them either..... I'm still trying to get cranked up about the upcoming season. Normally, by now I would have read just about every preseason magazine I could get my hands on, and itching for getting out to some games. Right now I'm still feeling disconnected with the sports world.

Speaking of numbers, watching Umass football vs Florida Atlantic. FAU's numbers are silver, on a bright red jersey, and nearly invisible. Couldn't some idiot at adidas see that they needed a white border?

It could be my color blindness but these uniforms look blue, not Royal Purple.
Also,I hope the Cross puts a patch on the uniforms this season in honor of Crusader great Tommy Heinsohn.

Love the script "Crusaders" but hate black uniforms in any sport unless my team was Army West Point. Since it's not, how about royal purple?

F-
They look like samples from a uniform catalog.

Black is the new orange - both poor choices to represent Holy Cross, imo. But black is in.

Same person who signed off on our hockey uniforms.

Wow, those are hideous. And get off my lawn! (Just wear the dang purple.) Get off my lawn, too--unless you want to rake the leaves. I don't like these at all. Do the players like them? Do they get any input on these decisions?

Since the HC "purple" uniforms often look blue on tv, perhaps the "black" will look purple.

We had black that were identical in every other respect to our whites and purples when RW was coaching.
First game worn was at Maryland. The telecast, in standard def, was practically unwatchable; the picture was so poor. Two of our players got injured with the cross-country flight immediately before the game (with a bunch of delays) contributing to that. Then, we got blown out.
All in all, it made me hate those unis and still hate black on HC to this day.
The best accent color on HC unis is and always was some shade of gray/silver. Why doesn't anyone running the show know that?

I'm wondering if the player names are on the back; I'm guessing no. If there ever was a year when they would actually be helpful for the home fans....

I honestly don't recall my time seeing games in person (1966-1970 and 1999-now) ever seeing a player's name on a Holy Cross uniform. I know some coaches believe by having the name on the jersey/shirt/"sweater" that that somehow de-emphasizes the importance of the team and giving the individual player too much recognition. Did Carter/Duffner/Blaney ever have the names on? I'm with NAD, I can't tell the players without the proverbial scorecard and . . . . . no scorecard (i.e. program) anymore. P.S. Just thought about Kreimer on the football team. He's had 3 jerseys and taking his name off and on multiple jerseys would drive the equipment manager crazy. Is that the reason? Save time and money?

Why would you guess no ? Haven’t the names been on the back for years ?

I don't care if they wear matching t-shirts and shorts recently discovered in an old Herman's warehouse.
Just win some games!
