Four minutes into the second stanza, HC denied a second goal, as the refs lose sight of the puck which clearly got past Metcalf and into the net.

Berard not on the bench, observing "COVID protocol."Â Gordon in goal. I got some questions here...if he is in protocol, why is the team playing? Did Holy Cross practice yesterday with him there?

HC leads in shots (55-23), but - more importantly - HC has the lead in shots on goal (33-7). That last number is impressive.

With the amount of cancelations in Hockey East and basketball programs shutting down this weekend, I will be stunned if NCAA hockey or hoops get to the tournament.

Showing how picky this is becoming...Bergen Catholic H.S. was scheduled to play undefeated Delbarton (at BC) on Saturday. One of the Delbarton players had a positive Covcid test on the sidelines at kickoff (both teams had warmed up). The game was cancelled. Delbarton now gets to end their season undefeated. BC had been favored. Was this a case of creative use of a Covid test result?

With this win, both hockey teams (men and women) are 1-1). How long has it been since HC could say in late November that HC did not have a single team with a losing record?
