Just glad we got a W. Hopefully something to build on.

Only in the Everyone Gets A Trophy Generation would we be celebrating a coach getting his 100th win his 253rd career game. It has become an art form to compose biographies of coaches with career losing records to make them sound like the next John Wooden.

Not sure Berard is young enough to qualify for that generation but agree that touted 100 wins with more than twice as many losses seems "a bit much" as we used to say. Now if he were to win his next 100 games with, say 30 losses, I'll pop the champagne corks.

If he got his 100th W in game #253, he doesn't have "more than twice as many losses" than wins.

Misread the post above and thought it said he had lost 253 games. My mistake. Loss of focus on my part rather than a math error. Still, hardly a sterling won/loss record.

Serves me right for agreeing with BBC. Now where did I put my mittens?
