Been thinking it for a while but finally feel comfortable saying it after watching tonight’s debacle. Tom Brady is now a below average NFL QB. Many more bad throws than good ones. The adulation from the announcers isn’t helping.

That performance by Brady was hard to watch. Let's se of it was a one time thing.

I still remember the end of the great career of Willie Mays with the NY Mets. I loved being able to see him again in person, but it was sad to see how his amazing skills had failed him...and that last strike out was just too sad. I hope Brady has at least a few good games left in him.

Brady has thrown 25 TD passes this season for 4th highest in the league, but he's thrown 9 interceptions for 5th most . He's 25th in completion percentage with 64.7%. He is 24th in yards per completion so it looks like he is not throwing as deep as he once did or maybe the offense throws more to running backs and tight ends? If so, his completion percentage should be higher.......
His QB Rating is 95.0 which is right in the middle-16th best in the league.

I think Brady will continue to play even as his skills decline as long as he is on a team with a chance to compete in the playoffs. Sadly, I can foresee his career coming to a close on a season ending injury after which he generates limited interest from teams which can compete.

Stepping off stage is harder nowadays when you get paid millions of dollars. First, hard to walk away from that money when you are used to that kind of income and second, when you get paid that much, it reinforces your thought that you are still successful at what you do. If Tom was making 25% of his current income, he'd be a lot more likely to move into the press box as a color commentator.
I've been ambivalent about him for years. He seemed to have exceeded initial low expectations when he started his career but then again, I am not sure if he cheated or not during deflategate.
