Here's a short clip from last night's sports on Spectrum by Kevin Shea... Some brief comments from a few players and Coach Chesney. Football practice has wrapped up and players have gone home waiting for news on spring games/schedule.... NOTE: make sure you turn the speaker on in the lower left corner! ! spectrumnews1.com/ma/worcester/sports/2020/12/02/holy-cross-football-goals

Coach Chesney reminds me of two twin boys a motivational speaker talked about one time. One boy complained about everything while the other one (Chesney) always looked on the bright side no matter how depressing the situation.
The parents wanted to balance things out so for Christmas they got the complainer a shiny red bicycle and the happy twin a steaming pile of horse manure. The complainer frowned and said he wanted a blue bike instead. The happy kid squealed with delight and dove into the pile, digging furiously.
When asked why he was so happy he said with all that manure he knew there must be a pony in there somewhere.
Another observation from the clip is that if fans aren't allowed this spring, HC is free to schedule home night games as the practice field is well lighted.

Without any fans why in the world would HC bother to play nite games?

Without any fans why in the world would HC bother to play nite games? The turf practice field makes perfect sense if we attempt some sort of a short and essentially fan-free spring 'season'...but no idea off the top of my head as to why we would want to play at night.

Might it get more fans to "watch" the live stream than we would get during the day?

Trust me - HC isn't playing a fan-less nite game on the practice field unless it's out of necessity for some reason.

The lights might prove helpful or even necessary if games are scheduled to kickoff later in the afternoon in order to accommodate teams that are traveling the same day from farther distances and don’t want to leave at the crack of dawn to complete a 3-4 hour bus ride.

Random thoughts from the Spectrum clip--- (1) our guys are really articulate and (2) how about Coach Chesney himself making some moves to test DB Malik Scott
