Mrs ChuChu and I have been on the fence about leaving our North West abode and heading across country for this event, but we have just taken the plunge, and made hotel reservations and bought the tickets. Are any of you purple knuckleheads going? It would be fun to meet up.

Hopefully MetroNorth will stop at YS that day Lou, I remember meeting you at a PC Dinner in Kimball circa 20014, when my daughter was in school. This will be our first PC since then. I look forward to seeing you all!

Hey, guys, have fun watching Fordham beat up on HC in Yankee Stadium. I'm an alum of both schools (and I don't donate to Fordham either).

I'm going....but it's like going to the BC game in the 70s and 80s....going more for the social aspect than anything else.

It's an event, count me in. Family wants a weekend in NYC.
Anderson, Boisture, Whitton, Doherty*, Wheelwright, Carter, Duffner, Vaas, Allen...have seen each of these coach's final games (only Massucco missing from list). Sadly may be adding one more coach to this list.
*technically he was gone already but his staff coached the BC game in his absence, due to illness

with edmonds going for 359 yards on the ground yday vs. lafayette, this game is not looking particularly attractive right now. he's going to be charged up to play at yankee stadium and i'm fearful of how the heck we'll defend him. i am sure the plan was for us to have PP and our senior skill players performing at a high level and to make it a game. now my question is 'how?'

I bought my tix this summer and am committed to going. I live in the Bronx so no way I could pass up no matter how good or bad HC is. Before the season, I imagined this game could've been a de facto PL championship game. Now I'm just hoping we don't get embarrassed and find a way to keep it close against a much better team.
I'm flying to Fort Myers, FL the next day for a week vacation so that flight will be a good opportunity to crack open the Men's Basketball media guide and start to forget about this dumpster fire of a football season.

nycrusader2010- In Ft Myers be sure to visit the Edison-Ford Estates and take the tour. One of my favorite places. Let me know if you plan to get up to the Sarasota-Venice area. I could show you around excellent venues. (I lived in the Bronx while attending Fordham grad school and teaching at Iona.)

Will be there with a block of tickets. BTW, did those who ordered tickets through the school receive their tickets yet?

Tickets are being mailed the end of this week, beginning of next. Have a block of 23 -- wish the game was going to mean something....we shall see.

Just ordered my tickets. I used the chat function and was directed to Connor whom I called and spoke with to get a block of tickets that worked for my group (it was hard to find more than 3 together in the mid-priced seats which Connor and I feel will have the best view as lower level may be obstructed by sideline players and coaches). Call Connor if you want to purchase tickets 718-313-0130. Nice young man who swam at Georgia, whose brother currently plays football at Auburn and whose father played football at Notre Dame!. He gave me the following info:
- They are limiting this to 18K tickets (7.5K Fordham, 7.5K HC and Yankees selling another 3K directly) HC has outsold Fordham so far. He predicts a "sellout".
- Tickets are running out so don't wait - I asked if they would open other sections of the stadium if they sold out and he did not think they will.
- Stadium opens at 1, the Yankee museum will be open and tours will be available (perhaps for a fee) if you come early. Game time is 3.
- HC Pregame reception at stadium is sold out. (Fordham's is not)
- Plenty of parking at garages at stadium - tailgating is not allowed but Connor's Yankee contacts says that people tail gate anyway before Yankee games.
Hope to see many of you in the Bronx!

Wait, so they're capping attendance to 18,000 and HC only gets 7.5K? What???

Notice the Crusader is now "ripped." Check the abs! I was able to notice the new plumage from a distance at the Bucknell game. Kind of like "Woodstock's" but purple, not yellow. No, I am not a fan of this new look.

My distinct impression the last few times I have been down to Fordham for our football games against the Rams was there was at least as many Crusader fans as the home team and probably more. I would hope that if Fordham doesn't sell its allotment of tickets that they would be open for Holy Cross fans, which would seem to be in everyone's best interests, especially the Yankees. After all, it IS a home game for Holy Cross!

I will be very surprised if HC fans who want to go to the game are unable to due to limitations on the number of tickets available.

Not sure if I'll be renting a car down there or not but I will let you know - I would like to explore the state a little bit while I'm down there. I've only been to Orlando for a HS tournament in 2006 when I was a senior and then Orlando again and Tampa for spring break in 2010.
