Any good spots to hit up before the game? I heard bronx draft house is good. Im also looking for a good spot to take my wife out for her birthday on Friday night. We will be near Roosevelt hotel in the city. I'll take any help for suggestions!

I will second Lou's response. I have a lot of friends in the City and HC events tend to be well attended. Check out the Dead Poet Bar just west of central park as well. Good Irish pub and a few HC alums are featured on the "100 Pints" wall of fame

Does anyone have the skinny on the total number of tickets sold to date for the game? A lot of vastly difference figures are being thrown around, and I figured someone on this board would be in the "know". I hope we can get to 30K (let's pray for sunny and 70 degrees). Given how successful Lehigh-Lafayette was at Yankee Stadium a couple years back, I think it would be nice to at least reach the 30K threshold.

When i purchased my tickets over 2 weeks ago, the website where you select the seats indicated very few open spots that I could select. I took this to indicate that ticket sales have been brisk. The upper level seats were not available.

Billboards posted on Metro North trains in/out of Grand Central Terminal advertising the game. Trains were too jacked up this morning for me to take a picture... the ad is essentially a graphic for the Ram-Crusader cup at the top half, and the bottom half mentions the ACC and "B1G" for the upcoming Pinstripe Bowl generically, in a few months' time.

The upper level seats were not available. It appears that there are many good seats available on the third base side. Far fewer on the first base side. Does anyone know if HC is on the third base or first base side of the field?

HC is on the first base/rightfield side. Then HC is doing better selling its tickets than Fordham is. Not many seats at all on the HC side. Quite a few on the Fordham side. Impressive showing from the HC faithful.

Impressive showing from the HC faithful. As I've oft said here....there is a solid (if maybe not as large as it once was) HC football fan-base out there, just have to get a bettah, more consistent product on the gridiron. I think the HC job should be very desireable in the off-season...with the right staff and concomitant support from the administration, there really aren't too many bettah jobs at the FCS-level imo (quality of kid to coach, facilities, schedule etc etc).

Hard to believe that, according to the poll on this thread, only 24 members will be at the game.

Yes, Jim, but you forgot that hc811215 has 44 people going. I, on the other hand, have only 4. I am sure you are going with more than just yourself!

Jim, I am sure they will just hand them to your wife and save the postage. Chu, it takes a while to get to the left coast when sent 3rd class (just kidding).

My four tickets also did not come. I called the ticket office and there is a problem. They are having my tickets reprinted to be picked up at the stadium on game day.

Sorry to hear about the ticket trouble! I hope we do have more in attendance than Fordham.
My buddy and I are going to the Delta pregame and the game. Few others just got tickets to the game. Anyone have extra Delta pregame tickets they are looking to move? Happy to discuss via message.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend! Hope the PC reception is in the Welcome Center. Looks like we need our nametags on to gain entry. Still hoping we can venture around the Intrepid.

Interestingly, they arrived in a correctly addressed, perfectly intact package, in yesterday's mail, postmarked October 19 (after the Dept. of Athletics had, actually, pursued reprinting and reissuing). Disappointing experience with the USPS, in this case.

As did most, I understand. Yankee Stadium tix, I'm talking, in the post above. Expecting my basketball ticket(s) soon, as I ordered relatively recently.

Also confusing that I get periodic emails that my basketball tickets coming soon even though I got them days ago.
I suspect that that they are printing and sending them in batches rather than all at once and don't segregate out their emails eliminating those who should have already gotten them.

I don't get periodic e-mails about my basketball tickets nor have I received them.
I never recieved last year's in the mail either. They had to reprint them and had them at will call the first home game of the year. Hope that doesn't happen again.
Perhaps marauders interrupt the pony express service here in the hinter lands of northern Worcester County more often than I think!
And my Ram Crusader Cup tickets arrived about 10 days ago.
