Yeah, but at least you get to sit next to Fr. Boroughs! Maybe they think he will personally hand them to you?

With a full season of close access to Fr. PLB, S.J., he'll surely be a member of the president's "counsel."

Jim, I am sure they will just hand them to your wife and save the postage. Chu, it takes a while to get to the left coast when sent 3rd class (just kidding). Interestingly, they arrived in a correctly addressed, perfectly intact package, in yesterday's mail, postmarked October 19 (after the Dept. of Athletics had, actually, pursued reprinting and reissuing). Disappointing experience with the USPS, in this case. I called the ticket office Monday, and they are reissuing our tickets and sending them by UPS Overnight letter. Should arrive today, according to my tracking info! Presidents Council Tix arrived today. We will also be in the Delta Suite pregame!

Actually, now that I read closely, we are not in the Delta Suite but in the Crusader Pre-Game Party at the FedEx Banquet & Conference Center inside Yankee Stadium. Anyone else from the board going there?

I don't get periodic e-mails about my basketball tickets nor have I received them. CORRECTION: Had not checked my home e-mail when I posted this and apparently I do receive periodic e-mails about my basketball tickets. I received an e-mail at about 8:30 PM Thursday indicating my season tickets were on the way. We regret the error.

Also assigned to the FedEx Suite. Will be there with my wife, son and grandson ( who has applied to the Cross but apparently doesn't like the hill) !

From HC site this evening (how do you interpret this?)
Due to overwhelming demand, the deadline to purchase tickets for the 2016 Ram-Crusader Cup football game at iconic Yankee Stadium through the Holy Cross and Fordham ticket offices has been extended! Fans will now have until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, to order their tickets.

My interpretation There are still many tickets available and there will be up to kickoff

My interpretation There are still many tickets available and there will be up to kickoff The only down side to any of this that 20K won't look like very much in that place. But it's still considerably more than any game HC has played in...even the UNH game was a tad disappointing (they had better crowds in their new digs later in the season). Then again, we'll have put more fannies in the seats than BC did at their last couple of home games!

I was at Cape club event of 50 alums & spouses Sunday... a half dozen said they were going with entourages of up to 10; I have 6 tix and 1 cx... offered to football player from '71, said he would call over for tix sales; with walk up from LI over on fannies...

A glimpse of the helmets for Saturday

Ugg....the decal is crooked.
They got the HC decal placed correctly on the purple helmets this year but now this flub....bad omen....hope not.
BTW, the decals are not budget busters but these additional special occasion black helmets can't be inexpensive.

Two great Crusader receivers are making their last game appearances this weekend. Brendan Flaherty stands 3rd in all-time receptions for Holy Cross with 187, 6th in career receiving yardage with 1,920 , and tied for 7th with 17 touchdowns. Four receptions would move Brendan past Jeff Laboranti into second place for career receptions but Mike Fess's 209 catches make him unassailable in first place. Jake Weiczorek is in 7th place with 147 receptions and in 5th place with 2,022 yards. His 16 receiving TD's have him tied for 10th place. Brendan and Jake joined the top 10 in career receptions this season, knocking Brett McDermott and Gordie Lockbaum off the leaders list. Jake is also 6th in career yards per punt return.

BTW, the decals are not budget busters but these additional special occasion black helmets can't be inexpensive. Quick search online puts helmets at $300+ for the protection level needed in ncaa football. www.riddell.com/shop/on-field-equipment/helmets.htmlI am warming up to matte helmets but I always think black helmets look better with black jerseys. I am sure some of the posters here would loathe the day HC football wears black (I was against all-black uniforms until I began teaching at St. Sebastian's School in Needham this summer). The logo on the decal is nice for the occasion, but the shield looks out of place. Just use "HC" or put the damn numbers back on. Oh well. You are correct, rickii, looks crooked.

Web site says Holy Cross is sold out. So how many tickets is that?? Appears to mean "sold out" for HC's set of tickets that included part of one half of the stadium that was only partially made available for the game, which appears to be somewhere between 7.500 and 15,000 tickets. It's an interesting move to feel the need to announce a game in the same stadium where Lehigh played Lafayette in front of 48,256 as "sold out" because we sold (at the very most, giving the benefit of the doubt) 15,000 tickets.

Agree ... assuming it means 15000
