Do BU hockey teams wear masks for games ?

might get some national publicity with that move ...especially if players start getting light headed or passing out from lack of air. Adrenaline and speed of play make a game far different than a practice. It who;;, however, probably be the same for both teams.

Do BU hockey teams wear masks for games ? Maybe the face shield on a standard hockey helmet meets that criteria

Really? Passing out?
They and we have been practicing in masks for weeks now. Not sure we've seen a rash of fainting players in practice so I wouldn't expect it in a game.
Not a fan of the decision, but can see why someone who is more risk averse would require it. You've been practicing against a core of well controlled, essentially cloistered teammates wearing masks, but you'd allow them to play against a group of "outsiders" without a mask? That doesn't make much sense.
It's all about risk tolerance. BU, perhaps due to the size of the school and the city they are in and that's city's requirements, are less risk tolerant.
And if that's what it took to get games played vs. not, give me a mask.

I hope BU wears masks tmro and we don’t - maybe AOC called her alma mater with this stunt Seriously, isn’t it true that all of our players have proof of a negative test in the last 48 hours ?

If a mask is worn below the nose, will BU leave the floor?
This is pure cosmetic theater.
I'm with 'haze -- I hope HC tells BU to either live with the fact they aren't wear masks and if they don't want to play then stay in the locker room.

Will it effect the officiating?... stop the action if a mask becomes dislodged?
Is this a national first for bball??

Can BU mandate this ?

If a mask is worn below the nose, will BU leave the floor? If we go down by 20, take our masks off. BU will leave and forfeit. That gets us 6 wins.

Has anyone watched a BC home basketball game? I have not
Maybe this is some sort of compromise to get an OK from the state and/or city to get an OK to get the games in

If they work a game and team tests positive, they are out 2 weeks, but if they wore a mask in that game, they can test out in 3-5 days. Rules are just being made up on the fly now..

Goodman has retweeted that BU only "mandates" the other team wear masks when playing at BU.
HC men will be maskless today.
Beyond ridiculous.

Every place on the Cape where I play tennis has been mandating masks for several weeks now. Not a big deal.

As someone who has exercised relatively vigorously in a mask (running the stairs in an eight-story apartment building) this is an advantage to HC today.

A negative test 48 hours ago means very little if nothing, with regard to your status today. I have no problem with the mask thing.

I put in a call to the BU coach, claiming that I was with the CDC. I suggested that BU players should wear the masks on offense but not on defense. He seemed amenable to that directive. That may help us score some baskets in transition as the BU players fumble with donning the masks. Stay tuned.
