Jon Klein is always on the move.
The Natick resident, who was born in California, was one of 10 players selected to represent the United States in the FC Bayern Youth Cup at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany as a member of the Global Premier Soccer club in 2019.
The club team competed against international teams from Nigeria, Thailand, India, Germany, China and Singapore. Klein contributed three goals and three assists through his team’s five undefeated games and had the game-winning assist in the championship match.
“Holding the trophy at Allianz Arena in front of the crowd and all the other teams and coaches was definitely the most exciting experience of my soccer career,” said Klein, who has been playing soccer most of his life.

“I can thank my brother for getting me into the sport,” Klein, now 17, says.
Klein and his older brother, Tyler, grew up in Oceanside, California, kicking a soccer ball around their backyard every day after school.
“I would bully him a little bit, being the older brother,” Tyler said. “We’ve always had that sibling rivalry and been each other’s biggest competition.”
Natick's Jon Klein has committed to play soccer at the College of the Holy Cross.
“I remember I watched Tyler play in a beach soccer tournament in California and from then on I always looked up to him as a player and wanted to be just as good as him,” Klein said.
Tyler, now a 20-year-old junior at UMass-Amherst, graduated from Natick High School in 2018. But four years prior, during his freshman soccer season, injury struck.
In the final boys soccer game of the season, Tyler broke his leg, effectively ending his soccer career. Three years later, his younger brother arrived at Natick as a freshman to effectively start his own soccer career.
