What is the foul number. Every possession is a foul.

The classic lines of Cotterell Court photograph well. An argument that the facility is inadequate for Colgate's current needs is baseless. Although some comfortable chair backs would be an improvement.

Time to add RW to the payroll as a defensive consultant. Some NBA teams give up fewer ppg than we do.

Gave up 59 in the 2nd half.
I like our young guys though.
Lehigh next weekend will be a good gauge of our improvement from last season.

This is looking like yesterday Not really. Under 10 at the end...much better. The D started to look good, Faw and Gates played well although in foul trouble. I am now looking forward to these guys taking on Lehigh. It is good to see the group of 8 taking on whatever roles they are required to play. GO CROSS

And now we are just chucking. This is going to be a 20+ point loss it looks like. Bad game plan this weekend by Nelson. I am glad that 9 points is not 20+ The team had a better game plan (closing off/harrassing key Colgate players) and, despite foul trouble throughout, played well - tightening it up at the end.

Giving up 80.66 ppg. #329 of 357 in the country. Atrocious.

Yes, but they have also come a long way on defense (since last season and even since yesterday). The fact that they can improve even more should not cause anyone to overlook that.

It didn’t really matter if we played full court defense or half court defense, this Colgate roster is a matchup nightmare for us at this point. We only have two bigs who can play right now, and one is 6’6.
If I would have told you that we could have held Jordan Burns (1-13) and Nelly Cummings (3-6) to a combined 4-19 (21.1%) from the field, I’ll bet you would have taken that every day of the week. Our issue was that the rest of the team was 24-39 (61.5%). If we focused on the other guys, then we’re going to have a problem with Burns and Cummings.
—
Bright spot: Matt Faw. He has gone from a guy who used to be allergic to playing in the paint to going 13-20 on 2 FGs against Colgate’s size and length this weekend. Kudos to him for putting in the work and not running away from adversity like the other holdovers. Let’s hope guys like Rabinovich and Louth follow his this same type of improvement under Nelson & Co.

If you can, check out the ladies at home today. The score is 49-48 after a Colgate 3 pointer...late in the 3rd quarter.

I'm happy for Colgate they have a winning MBB program and no new arena to finance during a pandemic.

I’ll never forget his reaction two years ago to somehow finding himself on the low block and getting a pass from the wing. He held the ball for a tenth of a second and threw it right back outside. Now he looks to score.
