Catch the game on the replay. It was a real heart-stopper.
HC now 4-2 after sweeping Army and Colgate.

That was a weak call; - and B-PC was hit as she made the move. It could have cost HC the game. Announcers thought it had been called as a foul at first.

That was one ugly 5 mins of basketball by both teams. Bronagh is one tough kid. . Think the girls gonna be working on their free throws this week. Power -C leads w/ 16 pts 8 rebs. Ezemma w/ 17 rebs & 14 pts.

We were 2-8 from the line in the last two minutes and those were our only 2 points of the last 4:31. We’ll take the W but that was some serious ugliness.

Ezemma, Allen and BPC all play hard and well underneath but are all under six feet, which makes it even more impressive. Even McCormack drives right into the redwoods.

Neither team played winning basketball down the stretch - we were lucky to get this one but I’ll take it. Colgate coach made some adjustments from yday that seemed to be effective - bucknell will be a very tough matchup next weekend but a good measuring stick to play against the best in the PL

At Lehigh next weekend, fortunately, HC does not Bucknell during the regular season, but it too will be a very tough match up.

Partly poor shooting by Colgate and partly good defense by HC.

Is it my imagination, or do Janelle and Gerrale have a lot in common on the court other than the number on their jerseys? Both seem to have very good footwork down low and know how to use their bodies to carve out scoring space underneath. Very impressed with what I've seen from her early on - averaging 20p and 9r per 40m .

The deserved star on the team is pre-season PL first team, Avery Labarbera. Average through 6 games with rank on team in parenthesis:
MPG: 32.8 min (#1) FG %: 37.0% 3 Pt FG %: 30.0% FT %: 85.7% (#1) Rebounds: 5.8 (#2) Assists: 21 (#1) Turnovers: 19 (#1) Steals: 18 (#1) PPG: 13.5 (#1)
As Avery goes, so goes the team, for the most part. The unquestioned leader on the team.

With more supporting pieces than we thought we'd have when we lost five seniors and Faulkner.

From what I have seen, I admire this dedicated, "tough" group of young athletes. IMHO, they will continue to improve and will make their mark as they represent HC.
