Holy Cross hires J.L. Reppert, the Maryland offensive coordinator for the past 6 seasons and a national championship winning coach.
Seems like a huge hire from a credentials standpoint, well done by Blossom on paper, we will see if he produces but his resume certainly speaks for himself. Go Saders!
Onward and upward...

Nice hire on such short notice. Have to read more about his "reppert" with the players, something his predecessor seemed to have down pat. Onward and upward with the season starting soon! GO CROSS!

1999 grad from the Naval Academy - served in the Marine Corp and retired with a rank of captain - yes, on paper a very good job by ADMB to secure him so close to the season

What, if anyone might know, is the difference between "base earnings = $84,000" and "other earnings = $22,200?"

'other' refers to camps/clinics etc. that the school sponsored and he worked at

Coach Rep is as solid of a lax coach as any other ... and that is anywhere else in DI or high D3. His background compliments that of Coach Lynch who also came to HC from the Naval Academy Prep (NAPS). HC has a strong group returning and with the great academic, facilities and staff, should be able to attract the students who can continue to succeed on the field, in the classroom and the community. Well done.

Well done. Very similar resume to Lattimore....High Level Assistant who has never been a collegiate head coach. Navy's record under Coach Rep 2014: 4-10 2013: 3-10 2012: 6-6 The first year after Coach Rep left in 2015, Navy won the Patriot League with a 9-5 record under the same head coach.

Seems like a good hire. My opinion is bolstered by the fact that (surprise!) bfoley wants to crap on him.

Maryland is a different animal than Holy Cross with academics and prestige of lacrosse programs. Maryland offers a kid it becomes "Does he go to Syracuse, Hopkins, Duke, Virginia, or Maryland?" Is that the same type of kid that HC is recruiting? I don't think so

The fact that we attracted someone from a high level program, with an option to remain in his position with a team that will compete for the National Championship is positive and is reflective of the progress the program has made over the last few years. Half full ... live life with a glass half full!

My guess is that Reppert didn't smile in a picture bfoley82 took of him.

Looks like a great hire.
Here’s hoping that the we soon need a separate section of this board for Men’s Lax, and that we soon have vigorous debates regarding the best recent hire: Bob Chesney, Brett Nelson or JL Reppert.

Foley is bent that he has to walk a hundred yards to drop a deuce, and that HC doesn't comp free hot dogs to the lax media horde.

The mental gymnastics that Foley is doing to try to justify his assertion that Holy Cross was such an unattractive job that not even top D3 coaches would take, is fun to watch. They have now hired a man who was a national championship OC. Lattimore didn't even sniff a final four at Penn or Bucknell.
Not saying it is a Grand slam hire that will skyrocket us up through college lacrosse, but the last Maryland OC is now being paid a fortune as the Head Coach at Michigan. This demonstrates Holy Cross has a real chance to be consistently competitive, and we should all be excited about that.
