While we aren't realizing the desired results today, and we might not know what the team will be like next year or even five years from now, one thing is certain-- "the day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit"--- but I hope the seeds mature soon and we have meaningful change ahead!

ESPN Transfer Scorecard
Gerrale Gates, Holy Cross: Gates had a solid two seasons at New Orleans, earning Southland freshman of the year honors in 2018-19 and averaging 8.4 points in both seasons. Now in the Patriot League, Gates has been among the league's top frontcourt players. He is averaging 18.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, and has two 20-10 performances in his past three games.

Given that Gerrale is listed as a junior, will next season be his last? I know there was some speculation he'd have more years of eligibility at HC. He's been a tremendous find for Nelson and would love to see what he could do alongside some of other bigs when they are ready for showtime.

He should have two more years. At this pace he would become one of the 3 best transfers in HC hoops history.

I think McCaffrey and Josh stand out above the others.

In general, a pretty short list
Seemed to be a thing with Coach Blaney in the early 80's with Thurman, Goldbolt, Runcie, and McCaffery having at least one transfer on the team for quite a spell.
McCaffery was in a class by himself. Too early to make historical context, but early indications are that Gates could be right there with any of the other names mentioned

Thurman missed free throw in ECAC final against Northeastern resulted in 3/4 court heave by Perry Moss that tied the game that we subsequently lost in OT. Maybe the toughest losses in school history considering the stakes.
Agree McCaffrey was a great talent and fun to watch too bad he was on such bad teams.

Don't forget my classmate Joe Carballeira --I would put him near the top of that second tier
