AIC, 2-0, end of first period. Radomsky in goal, getting peppered (Murder Hornets lead SoG, 15-3).

Down 5-0 in the third. I know AIC is good but we’re approaching dumpster fire territory.

If the obstacles to achieving success in hockey at HC are insurmountable we shouldn't have a program. Other PL schools don't have one. If they're not insurmountable Dave Berard seems like he's not the right person to achieve success.

Dug up a clip - that appears to be dated after the Stone Age - which suggests we should keep trying.

The obstacles can't be insurmountable. Fortunately MB has attended and worked at good Hockey Schools. He has seen what winning hockey teams look like. He should be able to identify what isn't working.

Basketball should be MB's number one priority to figure out.

Definition of Bizzaro World: AIC is ranked 19th nationally in D-1. Why is this bizarre? In the last ncaa tourney they held, they beat the number 1 team in the country! They been the class of Atlantic Hockey for three years now

AIC's success is not bizarre. That has to be earned and it's over multiple years so it's not a flash in the pan. It's bizzaro world for me because I have been reading the sports pages for sixty plus years and Holy Cross was always a New England major college and AIC a New England small college.
It's like when I attended a wedding Mass about 20 years after HC went coed and the bride was an HC grad and the groom was a Salve Regina grad. The older Priest who officiated had fun with how that was amazing to him but a younger person who had not known the two institutions when HC was men only and Salve was women only wouldn't have felt any amazement.

Massachusetts produces the fourth most NHL players of any state. We have the recruiting potential. The obstacles certainly are not insurmountable.

That is true, but second and third tier players in Mass are better than second and third tier players in other states. It's not only at the top where Mass is strong in hockey.

Prior to the pandemic, Sacred Heart and AIC both managed to bring in quality recruits who were willing to work and help achieve success. A couple of years later they were attracting better recruits than us to fill their top lines. Bentley built the new barn, which thankfully is still under the Hockey East capacity requirements. It is possible and moving on as soon as this season is over should be top priority.

Seriously, I wonder if seating capacity minimums will be reevaluated post-Covid. With all the variants and mutations, we might not be gathering in large crowds as easily as we used to for a while.
