We are getting absolutely torched with getting caught in bad match ups after switching. Johnson has been pinned down low multiple times tonight. good offense, and HC doesn't want to double down because of Colgate's shooters..

Second day in a row Gate has shoved our defender to the ground with a forearm and gotten a block call. Butler was the victim yesterday.

Need to keep the energy up. Or we are looking at 10 loses in a row to Colgate.

A year with the strength and conditioning coach will be a real benefit for Louth

Agree that it's time to see Louth if he's not dealing with some type of injury. He's been here a month now and should be comfortable with the schemes we are running. Even if he's not in top condition yet I don't see why he can't give us a few minutes a couple of times each half. We're desperate for another big body that can at the very least throw his weight around and use up some fouls. With all of the complaining about the defense, I am surprised that people want someone on the floor who the coaching staff appears to think is not ready for D1 basketball (for good reason, if so, given the COVID issues). If I am remembering correctly, Lout arrived right around the new year, meaning he has been with the team for 4-5 weeks. With this current back-to-back weekend schedule, I assume the team takes Mondays off and has a light practice on Friday to prep for the weekend. Assuming there are three “full practices” Tues-Thurs (which may even be a bit of a stretch), and going on the high end of him having been here for 5 weeks, that would mean he’s had 15 D1 practices, all coming after limited work since COVID started last spring and while the team is preparing for games (meaning there is a different structure than the preseason when there is more flexibility for development). Sorry, but it doesn’t sound an alarm for me that Louth may not be ready for D1 basketball after 15 practices (max). Good points as always but I make the assumption that with four coaches and a DOBO there is time for individual work on need areas such as footwork, positioning, shooting etc., in addition to the three practices per week.

Butler and Faw gave hit a bit of a wall in the last couple of weeks - we need Austin but his fg shooting has dropped off a lot (while he seems to have solved the ft problems)

Butler gets a great offensive rebound and then tosses it out of bounds.

Nothing being run for Gates other than give him the ball and expect him to create-somewhat mindnumbing
They are far better, but they also adjusted.
We are committed to a style not winning games

The positive is we hung with the best team in the league for the vast majority of two games in 29 hours. The negative is we’re still stuck on 2 wins and on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

This new era of Nelson players are a very big positive for me, I look forward to seeing what Nelson can do with a team of his own guys. Love Butler, Love Faw. Assuming both were great mentors for the young guys. But this freshman class is extremely promising and I hope they stick together because I see a lot of wins in their future.

Where do we get a Woodward or a Records? Anyone could have had Records. He didn't get his first scholarship offer until February of his senior year. Any good academic school that offered him in the Fall would have had him. Only had two offers in total: Binghamton and Colgate. The Colgate offer was in March.

The Friday one may encompass less running, but it will be just as long.

They have opportunities to practice 24-7 if you look at 1-1 training
