Crosser, I forgot to tell you that you need to mark the video as either "public" so we can all see or "unlisted" which makes it available to anyone who has the link - like if you posted it here.
You can change the status yourself.

I'll try it again. They did say public before, but I deleted them and then downloaded them again. We shall see.

Well, I've learned a bit more about Youtube the past couple days. Now if only I can remember it the next time I try this.

How about some goholycross.com highlights from the game? How about some type of Men''s Basketball content to get people excited for the season? We have the defending PL champs playing in a "new" arena with the season starting in 8 days, yet there has not been any type of marketing effort to get people interested in the season, and the only glimpse that we've had into the "new" building was a 45 second teaser video. No video from PL Media Day, no video from Coach''s Night, no preview video with short practice clips and player interviews, not a peep from Coach Carmody, no tour of the "new" arena, etc. etc. The team gained a ton of traction last March, but the Athletic Department has made no effort to maintain at least some of that interest. Maybe you live in a cave. There is consistent broadcast and Internet marketing ongoing for the hoop season in greater Worc. There is a long video with player quips among other vignettes, and more, including a live Web cam about the revamped Hart on GoHC. Every coaches show is broadcast live on the radio and via audio stream, as well as on live video on the PL Network, and archived there as well. And Carm was a guest last week, and will be several times throughout the school year. HC also pays to broadcast every FB and MBB game, as well as 2 WBB and 2 Hockey games. To say HC is doing nothing to promote the season is flat out wrong. 1) I don't live in Worcester. 2) I am an alum and check goholycross.com fairly frequently (less so now when there is very little content of interest being produced), yet have not seen any type of video with "player quips." If I haven't seen it, how do you expect the "casual fan" who followed the team through last March to see it? 3) A live web cam on construction? So you can log on and see workers standing on beams? Riveting marketing material there! How about photo galleries, a tour of the building, actual updates on plans/progress? If dropping a webcam on the internet is considered effective marketing for a $95M investment, the marketing department should be reconsidered. 4) There is no clear cadence to the coach's show and video replays are not promoted and/or cut up to show highlights, just dumped somewhere into "Crusader Vision," usually still including several minutes of dead air to begin the video and no idea who's talking when during an hour+ video. 4B) Why not make that a podcast so people can have it downloaded automatically to their phone? Why not have a consistent podcast every week that is released on x-day that includes highlights from the week that was, player/coach interviews, etc.? In the internet age that we live in, the idea that it is November 9th and we have had two coach's shows this year because of some silly excuse about availability on a local radio station that reaches a fraction of what we should be able to reach online is a joke. 5) Paying to broadcast games is not exactly a remarkable marketing feat worth lauding. The basketball season starts this week and the only video that I have seen of the team since last March is two YouTube clips shot from a fan's phone and posted to a message board/YouTube. To say that there is anything close to effective marketing taking place is a preposterous.

I feel your point #5 is remarkable and worth lauding. For far too long that would have been unthinkable. It is not sensational, but it good to see it finally being done. Spend money to make money (through fans and their support).

Before the PLN changed providers, the streaming internet broadcasts ran a viewer count of how many were watching a game. Was never more than several hundred that I recall. And that presumably included family, friends, and students. Don't know whether if the feed to HC would count as one viewer.
And IIRC, Channel 3's position in the cable lineup was changed from a low numbered channel to a much higher one. Casual viewers aren't typically surfing channels in the 200s and 300s.

I don't know you will get many viewers just from those who are channel surfing. But, advertise it is being broadcast and some may turn in. Win games and that number can increase.

There are two HC home games on the CBS schedule, and one potential flex home game. Plus the semifinals and final. HC has one home game on the ASN schedule. So its not as if television broadcasts of HC basketball are invisible in Worcester homes.
