How on earth are people here complaining that these games are home at the hart. This is fantastic. This never happens. Wake up

Hope fans will be allowed to be at the heart to watch this big tournament with some good teams and I believe if it’s at capacity I think season ticket holders and parents should be first

For Christ's sake if there is no assurance that vaccinated people can't congregate 8 months from now, with some limitations; we have the wrong people running the public health system in this country.

Maybe this tournament is being used as a trial run for HE. Let’s roll out the red carpet and ensure this tournament is nothing but a success for all schools.
Job well done by Blossom for making this happen.

The capacity of the Hart rink, the fire department's occupancy limit may be less.
Skate sharpening room 1 Video room 23 Office & Concession spaces 11 Ice rink 327, includes standing room around part of the rink. Locker rooms 66 Glass room 1 Mechanical spaces / Zamboni 6 Bench seating for spectators 841 Handicapped Spaces 18 (for 9 wheelchair spectators & 9 wheelchair companions) Bud Ryan room and media booth 81 Total 1375

Does Holy Cross have even three locker rooms to socially distance the teams from each other? Everytime I have been underneath with two teams plus refs it has been extremely tight. There are two locker rooms on the west side of the rink, one for the men, the other for visitors; and after the Luth reconstruction of the Hart, there is now one, new locker room on the east side for the women. Before the reconstruction, there were no locker rooms for the women, and the HC women's team used the swimming team's locker room. There are also two locker rooms for visiting teams on the north side of the Hart court, along with a room for visiting coaches, and also a room for what appears to be officials. An unassigned locker room near the football locker rooms may now be softball's locker room. You think hockey players are walking through a lobby with skates on? Ha! With COVID cleaning policies, you aren't seeing doubleheaders in Hockey East this season with the men and women. Unless we see all COVID eradicated in the fall, you can't reuse locker rooms.

Given that they’ve announced the tournament, I’m thinking they have a plan in place for how to make it work and the participating schools have agreed to that plan.

A 98 percent guarantee that no students will be allowed on campus this fall who are not vaccinated. Massachusetts was even requiring all students to be vaccinated against the flu until the state dropped the requirement (interfered with giving COVID vaccinations, and there has been little influenza this year).
Johnson & Johnson will have delivered 100 million single shot vaccine doses for the U.S. by end of June. Moderna and Pfizer will deliver 200 million doses by end of July, that's for the latest order, which is sufficient to vaccinate 100 million Americans. Moderna and Pfizer will deliver 400 million doses by end of this coming May under the initial order, and sufficient to vaccinate 200 million Americans.
Those three manufacturers will have delivered enough doses to fully vaccinate 400 million Americans by the end of July. As none of these three vaccines are yet approved for children/youth under the age of 16, and there are 270 million? Americans 17 and older; there will be a surplus of vaccine shots by summer's end.
Wiping down locker rooms will not be necessary at a competition site where all players are vaccinated.

Very cool event, but it’s impossible to take the HC program seriously until we have a competent head coach. Bingo. All other news is irrelevant until a change happens.

Wiping down locker rooms will not be necessary at a competition site where all players are vaccinated. So in your theory, Holy Cross will end up moving this to the DCU since the building will be open for events...I highly doubt this gets held at the Hart with two Hockey East teams (only one that actually travels) and an ECAC power in Quinnipiac. Just my two cents, I am just a doubter that a facility with that holds less than 2k people is going to host BC who averages 5k or so fans yearly and Quinnipiac who is always a hot ticket. Northeastern only packs it in against the Boston schools.
