I see the minor leagues schedules came out today. Is Polar Park ready ? if not, where is the team playing its home games ?

Why wouldn't they play at Fenway when the big Sox are away? A ticket, hot dog, a coke and a vaccine shot all for $25.

There's a difference between being able to host a game and being able to host a game in front of 5000 fans. As long as the field is ready they can have games without fans. No telling what percentage (if any) will be allowed in on April 13

No telling what percentage (if any) will be allowed in on April 13 I hope they have better luck when they test flush all the toilets at once than they did at Schaeffer Stadium in 1971. That stadium (later Foxborough Stadium and now the parking lot for Gillette Stadium) was built with all private money for $7 million and the plumbing failed when they tested it.

Seeing guys down from the bigs on rehabs is the only plus watching AAA over AA ball, as AA is where there the majority of the real MLB prospects are. More future BoSox players are in Portland than will be in Worc.

Yes.
Clubs are generally keeping their top 4 full-season minor league clubs.

More future BoSox players are in Portland than will be in Worc. Except for people in Maine and parts of New Hampshire, Worcester is a shorter drive than Portland. Manchester is not a bad place to see the visiting Portland AA Sea Dogs. But I do agree, in the 21st century, AA is better than AAA -------------------- The new minor league system is a step backwards. Basically taking professional baseball out of a bunch of communities. I don't think it was a bad thing that there were more places to see games. Might actually develop a fan base. There's something to be said for taking a little kid to the former Lowell Spinners, knowing the kid didn't have the attention span to hang for a full game. I could do that for about $5/ticket instead of $100/ ticket at Fenway knowing we might not make the whole game

I read the article that Woo Gray posted. It is definitely worth a few minutes of your day if, for no other reason, than because the author recognizes what I think a lot of us value about being baseball fans--the ability to quickly trace a lineage of players back to the legends of our youth.
