Makes me appreciate the Worcester Railers owner who must be personally subsidizing the team during the long Covid lay off. But the U.S. also had a Payroll Protection Plan that was perhaps stronger than what Canada offered. This article brings back memories of all the teams like the Ice Cats, Sharks, Tornadoes, Counts, Mass. Marauders, New England Surge, etc. that litter the graveyard of Worcester minor league teams. Not an industry for the faint of heart. Do the Mass. Pirates, indoor football team at the DCU still live?
