Yes, indeed. So tough on the athletes. That likely makes Army the 7th seed for playoffs. HC the likely 4-5-6 position.

What are the odds Army joins Colgate on the sidelines permanently?

Army can't catch HC. Loyola would have to sweep American and then sweep Navy next weekend to pass Lafayette as 8th seed. If Loyola fails to sweep AU this weekend, League office should declare regular season over and set up the playoff schedule after a quarantine period. Only thing really at play is who wins the south mini conference, Navy or American. This weekend could go a long way to determine that. If AU sweeps, give them the South. Then it looks like: 1. Bucknell 2. BU 3. American 4. Lehigh 5. Holy Cross 6. Navy 7. Army 8. Lafayette Isn't that how it plays out anyway? This way, they can buy a little time if someone tests positive for playoffs.

Can't say for sure that AU would win the South even if we sweep Loyola this weekend. We're currently tied in the pod with Navy at 3-1. We play Navy on Wednesday; they are scheduled to play Loyola next week. I'm guessing we'll get an extra game or two scheduled the first week of March, as well.

Be interesting see what the League does with scheduling. Just a guess, but would think they'd cancel AU's games with Bucknell next weekend so Bucknell can play Lafayette next weekend. Would open up chance for both a 3rd and 4th AU-Navy game to take place instead of just the one on Wednesday. Would like see Loyola get a chance to fight to get in, but if the league made some sort of decision to move forward with playoffs it would be understandable IMO.

Bucknell will hopefully play Lafayette midweek. Then they will still need the two games with American to get to the required 12 games. AU, Navy, and Loyola are all close enough to play midweek games this week and next. Note that the above assumes the 12-game minimum continues to be in play. The NCAA is going to start reviewing waiver requests on February 26th.

The league moved Lafayette-Lehigh games to this Sunday-Monday, so Lafayette is free next weekend. League might prioritize the two division games of Bucknell-Lafayette over Bucknell-American next weekend.

Can anyone see the NCAA denying any good faith waiver for a team? What reason could they have to deny?

League might prioritize the two division games of Bucknell-Lafayette over Bucknell-American next weekend. Except that Bucknell may need all four of those games to be eligible for the tournament. It would be a shame for an undefeated team to end up not eligible for the tournament. Especially after winning the regular season last year and having the tournament cancelled.

Is the Patriot League requiring teams to have played a minimum of games to be in the league tourney?

I don't think so, but, I believe that under NCAA rules only one league tournament game counts toward the 13 games played minimum to qualify for the dance. The only team currently qualified is Army, HC only needs one, Bucknell needs 5, American 7.
