Army gave notice to the league that they are for real by beating no.4 Syracuse on the road today 18-11. AWP trailed 6-1 late in the first qtr and then dominated the rest of the way Loyola is now 1-1 after losing to UVA 15-12 at home and Navy beat Mt. St. Mary’s 8-5

I see that we have scheduled Sacred Heart at home on Saturday to open the season - good to have one ooc game before league play starts the following weekend

The website says:
"To start the 2021 campaign, all games at Kuzniewski Field will be played without fans in attendance. The situation will continue to be evaluated based on state, league and institutional policies as the season progresses. Fans will be able to stream selected games live at patriotleague.tv."
The schedule doesn't show any of HC's games as being streamed and I looked at Saturday on espn.com and this game was not among those listed. (There are other PL lax games being broaccast.) I would love to watch this game against Sacred Heart but it would appear that this is not an option.

Sacred Heart is playing LIU this afternoon at 3:00PM. The game is bing broadcast on NEC Front Row. Good opportunity for the HC coaches to scout the Pioneers before Saturday.

HC coming back after trailing 0-3 at the end of the 1st period. HC now trails 7-8 as we enter the 4th period.

I’ve been watching since the half. Comments:
1. No clock on the screen 2. Both teams sloppy 3. We can’t clear against a 10 man ride. 4. Down 10-9 mid 4th

I put the game on while putting together my tax information to get to my accountant. The win took some of the dreariness out of this chore.

Obviously good to get any win but beating SHU by 1 may not bode well for how we will do in the PL. Of course, SHU has played 4 games already while this was our first so that likely helped them.

For the expectations of this team Saturday was an awesome first win for Coach Reppert. Have to be happy with the grit and resilience these kids showed
Here were some of my takeaways -Sophomore class impressive offensively and have tremendous potential Lambert DiNanno Knaus Magalotti all have bright futures and they shouldered much of the load on offense -Conlin once again dominant, could really have a chance at PL DPOY and All American Status again, one game at a time but man can that kid play -Maitland was missed on the faceoff wing but overall liked what I saw from the faceoff men -SSDM's played well highlighted by Murphy's game winner -Roegge and Jackson were capable on defense as freshmen -Fox the goalie played incredible! Where has that kid been haven't heard anything about him up until now, need work in the clearing game as a whole but its early that always happens

I am confident we were tight—first game, new coach, wet conditions—and hopeful we will keep getting better.

I am confident we were tight—first game, new coach, wet conditions—and hopeful we will keep getting better. Those stats don't seem right for any lax game. There was 18 caused turnovers (eight for Virginia and 10 for Syracuse on Saturday), Bryant and Vermont combined for 20. Even Pace had three caused turnovers against BU on Saturday while losing 15-2.
