Navy, Colgate and Loyola will be top 3 going into next year after that it's a crapshoot.

It would be a shame for the rest of the league (Loyola excluded, of course) if it isn't represented by the team that's head-and-shoulders better than anyone else.

They need to prove that on the court
Colgate was won by at least 8 points in all of its victories this year.

It seems the only time when Colgate struggles at all is on the rare occasions in games where they get a little too smitten with the 3, and forget to go inside. Certainly did not happen last night. As much as I like Loyola's talent, if Colgate does their thing it's going to be very difficult for the Greyhounds to pull it out.

If Colgate does its thing, it might even be difficult for the Greyhounds to keep it close after the first 10 minutes or so. I see Colgate by 9 (if they play as they did yesterday).

I'm rooting for Colgate, just because I don't want a 16 seed for the PL

Colgate, as a potential 14seed could give some 3 seed a battle, especially if Burns plays as he did in the 2019 NCAA game. They would also have to have success with their three point game, esp Ferguson.

Have to think after gagging in the PL Final at home last year, Colgate will come out and take care of business in this one. Gate by 15.

Current spread is Gate -10.5
Has their ever been a bigger spread in a Patriot League title game?
Loyola won last meeting, which was last year.

Loyola-- the magic of the 9 seed.
Colgate -- head and shoulders best team in the PL IMO** with a chip on their shoulder after losing to BU in the final last year.
**I was joking in Big East thread that they'd beat Georgetown by 40 but Gate could have their opponent on upset alert I have no doubt. I see them as a 13 but the lack of OOC games in the PL doesn't help their case so maybe 14 it is.

Loyola keeping it close (21-19) at Colgate and Loyola's guard play (beyond Spenser) has some absolutely awful stretches (as has been the case all season) . And now Spenser picks up his 3rd foul mid way thru the 1st half.

Aldama needs to shoot more - only 4 FG attempts

Agreed. Part of their poor guard play, IMHO, is an inability to get Aldama the ball in good spots.

How is the NET calculated? Colgate is currently #9 in the country. Congrats to the Raidahhhs...worthy reps of the PL.

True, but put Aldama on our 'team' this year and we win no problem (IMHO).

How is the NET calculated? Colgate is currently #9 in the country. Congrats to the Raidahhhs...worthy reps of the PL. Scott Van Pelt highlighted it during a Sportscenter this week — apparently it’s due to the PL OOC strength of schedule being “manipulated” by only Navy & Army playing a limited number of OOC games, including a Navy win over Georgetown.

The NET also includes efficiency stats where Colgate ranks highly.

Both Army and Navy had very strong showings out of conference.
Army -- beat a very good Buffalo team, had Florida on the ropes in 2nd half before losing by 9, beat LaSalle Navy - beat BIG EAST TOURNAMENT CHAMPION Georgetown, beat GW but was blown out by Maryland who was mid-pack in BIG.
