A nice collection of post-season honors - and all can return next year!

AL on the cusp of 1st team, took on too much at times, but played at a very high level. The recognition at the defensive end reminds us what she brings there.

Congrats to AL, BPC, and CM on their accomplishments. The future is bright for HCWBB.
A few other takeaways outside the HC awards...
I'd imagine it was much more difficult this year to select teams considering all of the teams did play the full double round robin this year.
Secondly, I can't say I'm totally surprised but it's disappointing to see the Bucknell coach win COY again. How does Coach Mosley not win this award after finishing 2nd, going 10-2, and turning BU into one of the premier teams in the league in 2 full seasons + 1 year of whatever you want to call this COVID year?? I get its a year to year award and his team finished 8-0 a top the league but he inherited a top 3 MM coaching situation in the country with that roster over the past two years after Coach Roussell left for Richmond. In my mind it's more impressive from a coaching standpoint to see what Coach Mosley has done at BU.
Feel like the voters got a little lazy with that one..

I don't disagree with you in principle, but I suspect that Mosley's chances were damaged by playing in the weakest Pod. For that matter, you can make an equally strong argument for Magarity as a first yr coach taking a team predicted to finish last to a .500 season.

HC overachieved. Boston U - with all their PL starters back and a weak schedule - underachieved.

HC overachieved. Boston U - with all their PL starters back and a weak schedule - underachieved. Woodruff's team finished 8-0. Hard to argue with undefeated. Or against two league losses over two years for that matter. But I can certainly appreciate the point that the coach of the year could be a coach that did more with less. In this case, Magarity should have, and did, receive a lot of consideration for the award. Gebbia did a great job at American this season, but IMO, the South is the weakest pod and I don't think they won a game outside of it. (Navy 5-3, Loyola 0-11). Moseley did a great job, but a loss to Army and another to the Crusaders is disqualifying.

The voters didn't give Coach Mosley extra credit for BU players having to wear chin straps. I would pick Magarity over Mosely for one simple reason. During the telecast of one BU-HC game Coach Mosely approached a ref face to face. To make her comments clearer, she pulled down her mask as she animated right in the refs face. I don't think Coach Magarity would do that. To me, this Covid season was time for coaches to sit down, remain masked and let the players play.

I find it hard to compare teams to their preseason rankings to where they finished at the end considering there was 0 parity SOS wise across the league without the double round robin schedule.
Are we totally ignoring that HC and BU played in the same "weak" pod? Let's not punish Mosley in one breath for who they had to play but then reward Magarity in the next - especially when HC went 1-6 against teams with winning records. This isn't SEC football where a 10-2 record is underachieving.

Nice interview. Her maturity as a 20 year old freshman was evident and positive this season. That's a nice model to follow to recruit one or more post grad players each year, as well as attempt to recruit foreign players with high level international experience.

IIRC she did not have a lot of offers. AM has to be one of the better performing coaches to have ever been terminated by HC. Especially during an era when a winning record is an anomaly on Mount St. James. But I have been won over by Coach Magarity. A belated thanks to Coach Mac.
