UCLA can play. Much more than a one man team.

I don’t think hyperbole applies to tonight’s game. This was a classic. I fell bad someone had to lose. I don’t see how Monday night can match this one but we’ll see.

I think next year people will pay much closer attention to West Coast basketball. They were the stars of this year’s tourney.

I’m pretty sure the championship game won’t be as exciting as tonight’s epic tilt, but I do know it’s going to be HCNATION(Gonzaga) vs. CMo(Baylor) for the Crossports Bracket Challenge crown. Good luck, guys!

From barely making the field to 4 pts short of the title game is very impressive for UCLA. That was an outstanding game.

Incredible game, 15 ties and 19 lead changes...The Zags played 7 players...Jeffery Anderson was one of the the refs, we have seen him at the Hart on many occasions, he has that odd running style. The refs had a good night...

Great game with both teams playing at a very high level. UCLA played as well as they can with everyone except Bernard, who was taken out of the game by foul trouble, playing great. Jizang was once again tremendous making mostly jump shots against good defensive pressure, Campbell and Jaquez made big plays throughout the game, and Riley hit a number of huge jumpers at critical junctures. Gonzaga also played very well and barely survived. It's possible that their entire starting lineup will be playing at the next level at some point. Timme is a true throwback player who has the best footwork I've seen since McHale. Suggs is a special player who excels in every phase of the game. He will be a star in the NBA unfortunately probably starting next year.

Will be interesting to see if boost from tournament play propels Jizang to declare for draft. Hoops, Cunningham or Suggs who will be better pro.

Suggs must have been especially relieved since he made a terrible defensive play in OT. Just over a minute, Zags up 5, UCLA throws the ball into the low post to Riley. Suggs leaves Juzang wide open in the corner to double Riley. Juzang bangs a three.

But you are correct as to what a blunder it was. *reminds me of when I was a kid the Sox played the Cardinals in the World Series and they had Hoolian Hah v Eh; who wasn't a great hitter in his career but had a bunch of hits in that series.

That was a bad play by Suggs leaving Juzang but it was not in OT, Jaquez made the corner 3 to cut the lead in OT from 5 to 2.

Rules Question:
If someone is in the lane but clearly not in the active play, is the 3 second violation waived?
Suggs drove the lane last night, there was contact of some sort; a no-call; and Suggs went down. Clearly he was in the paint more than 3 seconds, more like 6 or 7.
Play continued and ended up with a not-so-good 3 ball attempt that missed. The no 3 seconds call did not change who got possession, but did change how much time was left.
Of course, I was screaming at Few to call a time out (he had two left). They were up 5 and another basket might have iced the game. Why run such a big play with 4 guys???
UCLA refused to go away.
