Fordham’s DeMorat is their biggest plus offensively. Fordham junior quarterback Tim DeMorat was selected as P.L.Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. respectively DeMorat was a 2019 First Team All-Patriot League selection at quarterback after throwing for a League-high 2,674 yards and 20 touchdown passes. He led the Patriot League in passing yards per game (222.8) and touchdown passes (20) while completing 59 percent of his pass attempts (232-for-393) and posting a 127.4 pass efficiency to place among the League leaders.

Most disappointing. But the game is still scheduled on goholycross.com

Game is still listed as scheduled on the Fordham website. Perhaps the remote worker who updates it is walking the dog.

92 used a BB cliche in his post above. Usually he says that after mumbling something about doing better in all phases of the game--offense, defense, special teams and coaching. Now, those phases are hand washing, mask wearing, social distancing, and nasal swabbing. What a year.

Anyone else starting to think we should just use whatevah is left of the Spring season as more of 'tune-up" for the Fall? Start looking at all the QBs, mixing it up at other positions, put some new wrinkles in the playbook etc? I think that's the way to go here....this Spring season has asterisk written all ovah it.

No.
Don't need to throw in the towel to a different route at QB.

Hearing there is an outside shot that we could move the Colgate game up to this Saturday (perhaps as an away game), with Bucknell and Fordham being home games in the ensuing weeks. Focus seems to be on prioritizing games against in-division opponents, with Colgate scheduled to host Lehigh this weekend (a non-division foe). Sounds like it is a somewhat fluid situation.

I'm not saying "different route"...just give some other guys some snaps too...mix in the younger and/or less experienced at other positions as wll.
We're probably only looking at 3 or 4 more games this Spring....sort of skeptical we'll see the 16 team playoff be played out fully given covid restrictions etc.
Just think it would be bettah use of our time/resources to go the "Spring Practice +" model rather than playing all out this Spring.

Coaches always think of next year (while trying to win out this year) but I’m sure it’s a bit different this year given the current very short ‘season’. No way Chesney wants 2 or 3 year groups with almost no college experience next year (so I’d expect more frosh/Sophs put in when and where possible this year). Plus, and this is not necessarily due to the short season, absolutely no way Chesney wants a roster with zero experienced QBs next year.

So you're saying the disruptions provide a chance for lightning to strike and a dark, dark horse to win the whole thing so we should keep the pedal to the metal? I just took a page out of your book and looked at the UMass schedule. They have Uconn, URI and Maine all coming to Amherst in the fall. They are favored to win the Yankee Conference in 2021.🙂

My prediction: there won't be an FCS playoff this Spring...hypothetical, do you really see HC being allowed to fly to Weber St or North Dakota St in early May? I think the NCAA initially said there'd be a Spring playoff as a sort of "carrot and sticks" to get schools on board but I can easily see them pulling the rug out in a month or so...I've been wrong before ....we shall see.

Is this going to be considered a forfeit by Fordham? That’s a good question. Since Fordham’s game last week was postponed, it was probably penciled in for the make-up week (April 10). However, with the cancellation of Saturday’s game @ HC, the PL needs to try and figure out how to make-up 2 games. Not sure how that happens. Seems to me that the priority is trying to reschedule the division games. If HC plays Colgate this week, it would free up Colgate to play Fordham next week, leaving our game vs. Fordham as a make-up date on April 10 in place of Fordham’s game vs. Bucknell. Lots of moving parts.
