What a pleasant surprise Sluka is. A whole range of results can happen in the game following a fantastic game, so let the coaches handle it.

Instead of just one QB, get Siderman ready as well, since he will be in the rotation in September. Send a three headed monster to the gridiron next Saturday. Keep the opponents guessing.

Whoever plays qb next week; the opponent has demonstrated the ability to stop the run; passing probably needed in order to win. In HC's four consec. wins vs Fordham; they've averaged 29 points per game IN THE SECOND HALF. 28, 17, 49 and 21. Twice HC had zero at halftime and yesterday, no offensive touchdowns. Coach shows them the cup at halftime and the team reacts like Curly Howard did in the boxing ring when he heard the song "three blind mice". "Pop Goes The Weasel".

Thanks for clearing that one up, tim. Those two tunes are commonly confused.

Thanks for clearing that one up, tim. Those two tunes are commonly confused. It was a big help. Staying in the (small) animal kingdom I threw in a Francis McGrath reference for you yesterday ND when Sluka pulled a rabbit out of his hat.🙂

That clever reference did not go unnoticed by this Worcester guy (North High, '64).

Thanks for clearing that one up, tim. Those two tunes are commonly confused. Must watch TV back in the day was the afternoon Stooges broadcast .... the TV room at Hogan was usually full.

I very much like the idea of this guy being a team leader for the next couple of seasons. Very rare for a soph to be named a captain, but this clip seems to show why his teammates hold him in such high esteem.

First in program history for sure, unless you count the fact that Dominic Randolph was co-captain in what would ultimately turn out to be his "Redshirt Sophomore" season. So he'll be the 2nd ever 3-year captain. A classmate of mine was a 3-year captain for the women's hockey team -- Lisa Wilson '10. Typically the sophomore spring is when leaders really tend to emerge when it comes to football. Normally this would be during traditional spring ball when the seniors have departed as active members of the program.

He may have had a 5th yr. though similar to Dominic Randolph. The historians of the board should feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.

IIRC, Peter was captain in his junior, senior and 5th years.
