WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Holy Cross and Fordham football programs will now play a Patriot League contest on Saturday, March 27. Kickoff for the Rams' season opener is set for 1 p.m. at Fitton Field as Holy Cross and Fordham compete for the Ram-Crusader Cup.
The contest had previously been rescheduled to be played on April 10, after it was postponed from its originally scheduled date on March 20 due to Fordham's return-to-play protocols. One of the strangest sentences I have ever seen regarding the scheduling of an HC football game.
Fan attendance is limited to two guests per competing student-athlete and coach on each team, as well as 500 total Holy Cross students. The contest can be seen live on ESPN+.

Not seeing Gilliam--my avatar for a couple of years now-- on the starting team or even on second team bothers me. He's a talented receiver and overall player. I'd have to guess he must be injured. When will Tenio Ayeni be returning to the field? Will we be throwing downfield some this weekend after having only a couple of passes go for 10+ yards in game one?
Note that Oliver and Kortebein remain 1-2 at RB even with Abrams leading the team in rushing yardage vs Lehigh.

Perfect day for football. Sunny, light westerly wind. Temperature 60 degrees. ------------------------------------ ESPN has eight contests cancelled or postponed, one is UNH-Villanova, ESPN also has HC playing a doubleheader, a first in school history!!!! (Baseball does split squads in the spring, why not?)
Fordham @ Holy Cross at 1 PM, on ESPN+ Holy Cross @ Colgate at 3:30 PM, also on ESPN+
(Before posters begin complaining about inaccurate or incomplete communications from HC's athletic department, I will point out that Lafayette is also playing Fordham @ 1 PM, and playing Bucknell @ 4 PM. Both games on ESPN+. Bucknell plays at Lehigh at noon. Tom Gilmore is clearly behind this, as Lehigh plays only one game today, and no need to split the roster. And Gilliam et al are obviously on the two deep for the Colgate game, if we can only find that two deep.)
Recording a couple of good NCAA games (Loyola men, UConn women) which conflict with 1 PM HC game.
Was just making out my day schedule and trying to get all the kids to their various activities and noticed the logjam of things I’d like to be able to watch at 1:00. Will also be cranking up the DVR. Good thing about ESPN+ is the games go up pretty quickly once they’re completed.
I would agree...but I believe the coaches have gone over the last game (more than once) and the flaws they saw in our players. I am looking forward to seeing an improved offense today, and more passes on target than she saw at Lehigh
