Marisa Moseley will be named the head coach at Wisconsin tomorrow (Friday). Be interesting to see who BU hires. They went with a Stanford assistant and a UCONN assistant for their previous two. Roster looks pretty good for the next two seasons as well.

Roster looks pretty good for the next two seasons as well. Coach prior to Moseley was not a Stanford assistant but rather Katy Steding, who had previously coached at Cal for a couple of years. She was a good player for Stanford in the late 80's. She never seemed like a great fit at Boston U, having spend all but one year of her playing/coaching career on the west coast.

Good catch! Katy was who I was thinking of. I meant to type Cal but must have had her Stanford playing days stuck in my brain. She led Stanford to its first NCAA championship in 1990. Agreed....never was a good fit but did recruit some nice players along the way. I don't think she coaches anymore but I am sure she could be on Tara Vandeveer's staff if she wanted to coach. Anyone have any thoughts on where they might go for a head coach? In region, BU competing with Dartmouth and Northeastern.....should be really interesting to see who signs one first.

Cannot say I'm surprised Coach Mosley continues to climb the ladder but rather surprised at how quickly she moved up a rung. Certainly leaves a gaping hole at a premier job in the league with almost all of their roster returning and a very talented incoming class.
Will be very interested to see who does the hiring at BU as former IAD BS currently resides as a senior AD in their department. Could we see AM return to the sidelines of the PL? Wouldn't that be quite the storyline

In women's hoop, which of those 3 is seen as the better job and which one pays the best?
BTW, Katy Steding returned to her alma mater as an assistant, unless she recently stepped down.
Getting back to the "promotion", usually one wins something at a level similar to the PL before moving up, not sure one could say that about Moseley.

Based on their last 2 WBB hires, I think they might be looking for a higher profile than AM.

At Dartmouth you're in the Ivy League, at BU or NU you're in the Hub of the Universe. I'd take the first job offered myself.

Hard to judge. The Ivy is the best rated conference of the 3, but mostly on the back of the ongoing success of Princeton, Penn & recently Yale & Harvard. BU looks to be loaded next year, but how many of their kids will be in the portal in the coming days. NU has historically struggled with the occasion good year.

Dartmouth and BU money is going to be in the same neighborhood. Northeastern slightly more.

If one applicant is offered all three it might come down to whether she is a country mouse or a city mouse.
Cost of living is lower in Hanover and there's no State sales or income tax. Commute would probably be easier and the air cleaner. With the web you are only a click away from your people.

Good point on the differences in lifestyle/taxes, etc. Given how difficult it is to land a head coaching job, I'd guess the most common applicant for any/all of those jobs would be an adaptable mouse.

One of the BU assistants for the past 4 years has been Darren Bennett, from Fitchburg MA, about 20 minutes north of Worcester. He was my daughter's coach at Skidmore. and an assistant at Michigan State and Syracuse before that....I wonder if he would be given any consideration...I think he was recruiting coordinator at Michigan State.
