Couldn't agree more - thought she might be in the running for a higher profile program. I would expect that if she gets Army back to the top, won't be around for long.

Would have loved for her to get our job a year ago. Kind of glad that a girl my daughter played with was going to go to Adelphi and changed her mind ....she was a question mark at the D2 level anyway (due to injuries more than ability) and Missy leaving would have been icing on the cake.

1) Bishop Feehan churns out good WBB players. 2) Missy just missed being part of the Ann Mcinerney tree having arrived at Maine the season after Ann left. 3) Her record in the NE-10 is most impressive considering she was going up against Barbara Stevens at Bentley for four of five years. 4) Let's hope we continue to have AWP's number like we did this year, but Missy has a win everywhere record like Coach Chesney brought to HC so it will be a challenge.

MT was in fact a finalist for the HC job last year along with several other local D1 jobs. The jump from D2/D3 to anything higher than a LM or MM D1 rarely happens in WBB and IMO this is a logical fit for her. The biggest challenge for her - as it is at most schools - will be recruiting relative to what her admins expectations are. Army has always been able to get good athletes but getting real players to go the service academy route will be the challenge.

I thought she might also be a viable candidate for one of the A10 jobs that opened recently.

I.e. a recruit is close but doesn't meet minimum SAT's for appointment is directed [by blue & gold alumni in Navy's case] to a prep school to plus him up with the understanding that he would get the appointment with the next class.

Yes. Hope Brown, who was originally a HC commit took that route went to USMAPS for a year.

It's hard to evade gender equity so most likely yes with probably fewer females, justified because Army and Navy FB are FBS and women sports are PL. I hadn't noticed this too much in the women's game but Holy Cross had excellent results with Bronagh Power-Cassidy coming from a nearby Catholic Prep School after a post graduate year. That wasn't coordinated by HC I don't think, but it's a good model to consider occasionally.

Yes. Hope Brown, who was originally a HC commit took that route went to USMAPS for a year. just did a little research re Naval Academy The Class of 2021 includes 27% from college and post‑high school preparatory programs, which include: 202 from Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) in Newport, R.I. 47 from the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation Program/Civilian Prep Program. 83 students have completed at least six months of study at a college or university.

Watching UConn vs Arizona. Little Aari McDonald is shredding the Huskies. Wildcats up 25-14 in the second quarter.

Many of the basketball and football players who go to NAPS and MAPS have already met the academic requirements, but are sent there purely to develop athletically, i.e. a redshirt year.
