Jump Ball. There are 3/10 of a second left on the shot clock. But, it was New Orleans' possession, not the Celtics. The Pelicans do not contest the jump ball preferring to be somewhat back on defense.
16.5 minutes left, the Celts were playing well at the time; afterwards Smart chucked up a terrible three and they fell asleep for the next 12 min or so. The story of their season.
Then, at the end, he got ejected

Marcus plays with heart But he ain't that smart Shocking for the mighty Celtics, not surprising for my woeful Knicks. (TBT they are showing a bit of life this year. No doubt they will be cotton candy for the great Celtics & other NBA powerhouses for the foreseeable future.)

One of the big problems with Celtics is there's no accountability, players do whatever they want without consequences. Time to move on from Stevens and bring in a coach with a pulse as the team has taken on the laid back personality of the coach.

One of the big problems with Celtics is there's no accountability, players do whatever they want without consequences. Time to move on from Stevens and bring in a coach with a pulse as the team has taken on the laid back personality of the coach. This is not so easy to do. More than any other pro sport, the NBA is a player's league. I think it's still a good product with amazing athletes but the players run the show. You now have cabals of superstars recruiting other superstars to come to desired locations (LA, Miami, maybe NY). If your favorite team is in the upper half of the US you have a problem because prime free agents want to hang out in South Beach or shop on Rodeo Drive. They don't like snow. The coach is important but it's critical to have players who can play but are also true leaders. Kevin Garnett was a great player and by the sheer force of his personality lifted the whole Celtics team. Talent isn't enough, you need leadership.

The Celtics are really missing a 5 who can consistently affect the game at both ends of the court...."The Time Lord" can do it on the D end, but he cannot create his own offense, he scores on lobs...Andre Drummond would have fit the bill....
