I just tried to skim through the transcript of the argument. Not knowing much about antitrust law, I am still able to figure out that this case is a mess. I think the court will try to come up with a solution which reduces the likelihood of the federal courts having to constantly micromanage colleges and the NCAA.
I wonder if counsel brought up his erroneous Patriot League factoid because he was talking to Justice Thomas. I would think that an experienced SC advocate would know that our fellow alumnus is actually a big University of Nebraska fan.
