OK, we play Bucknell on Sunday. Where and when? Will this be the PL Championship Game?
OK...no longer on Sunday. I hope that HC plays for the PL title at some point this spring.

Without knowing the location of the game...Massey makes HC a 7 point favorite (24-17) with a 75% chance for the win.

If the game is at Bucknell it is only a 3 point spread (20-17) and the probability of an HC win drops to 61%.

both teams have had one home and one road game - let's flip a coin or play at a neutral site within 3 hours of each campus - how about Michie Stadium ?

I think this is a fluid situation at the moment. Hearing all kinds of things, many of which are not positive about this weekend.

Hearing that this weekend’s game is now OFF. Bucknell apparently claims that they can’t play at HC this weekend due to “logistical obstacles” but they are planning on playing Fordham this weekend as scheduled.
At the moment, the PL Championship remains on track for next Sat. at 2PM at Fitton Field.

That's okay. Another week to get healthy bodies back on the field. Let's look at as a bye week. Bucknell is just trying to weasel their way out of playing us. We'll see them on the 17th as long as the Patriot League doesn't pull some kind of stunt based on number of games played. Not our fault that Colgate got Covid twice around the week they were to play us.

hc2020 I watched Bucknell against Lehigh and Fordham against Colgate and my money is on the over and laying it all on Fordham. Fordham has a VERY talented team. Lots of athletes!!! I'm thinking that the Fordham QB should light up Bucknell's defense on Saturday. We'll see.

Bucknell is solid, but watching all of those games Fordham is more talented and agree with football44 Fordham by 17

I hope that when the PL champ gets to the FCS playoffs, they will be governed by the (have to be less strict, right?) NCAA Covid rules rather than the PL rule where one positive shelves the whole team for the upcoming game.

Remember, Virginia had to bow out of the NCAA Basketball tourney due to a positive test. The issue is that there needs be a waiting period to be sure others do not become ill.

Probably the most prudent. Amazed at the discipline of the HC football program so far.

Just read on Patriot League website that HC plays Bucknell on the 17th for the Championship. Location right now is TBD. My thoughts, Fordham beats Bucknell home game for the home team. Bucknell wins, road trip on the 17th. Root on the Rams on Saturday

I don’t think the 4 game minimum applies to auto-bid teams. Only at-large.

It's been a crazy season. The simplest way to determine who hosts the 4/17 game is: defending champion hosts.

It's been a crazy season. The simplest way to determine who hosts the 4/17 game is: defending champion hosts. HC also has the bigger of the two venues so more spectators can possibly attend, including visiting team affiliations. Now, if we can only convince HC to increase capacity close or equal to the 12% limit which is currently permissible under MA Guidelines.

UMass-Amherst Hockey is missing their starting goalie, third stringer, top scorer, and another player today in the Frozen Four due to COVID. One of the student equipment managers is dressing as the backup goalie. Michigan and Notre Dame both were removed from NCAA Hockey tournament and Colorado School of Mines was in D-2 women's hoops also.

Any chance we could keep this thread just about the league championship game rather than yet another virus pissing match?
