Word came out he died early today. May his soul rest in peace.

What an interesting life he led, a vestige of the old order in European royalty. R.I.P.

Guy has been on the way out for quite a while; very, very tasteless that his grandson and wife went on Oprah a couple weeks ago. It could have waited.

What an interesting life he led, a vestige of the old order in European royalty. R.I.P. He fought in WW2 and Queen Elizabeth worked (helped) on an ambulance in London during the war. Both had substance beyond being royalty. The contrast with Meghan Markle was bright during her grievance session that CBS paid Oprah $17 million for the rights to air. I always admired Elizabeth and Phillip. R.I.P.

There are other less admirable sides of the royal family but at this time it's best to pray for the dead. As for Meghan and Harry, if they will be happier outside the stifling confines of royal life good for them.

I met the Queen and Philip on a Sunday afternoon in late May 1960, at Sandringham Palace. We were stationed at Sculthorpe AFB. There were about 100 people on the grounds and we lined up along the drive way so they could greet us individually.

More details please It was a country castle where the family visited -i believe it was her dad’s favorite place to stay outside of London. It attracted citizens and US military families that could walk the grounds with a guide. We were shocked when they arrived, but my sisters and mom loved every second. Sandringham was about 25 minutes away from our base, which was located on the Wash/north sea in Norfolk. We were part of the first group assigned there in 1959, but in early 61 we moved briefly to France and then for a second tour to Germany until early 65. My sisters are trying to locate the photos and I hope they have better luck with this request than they had with my baseball cards⚾️😱🙏✝️

Back in the day we kept them in an empty "Tide" box! Hoping my baseball cards are not far behind!
