Wonder if Bucknell bookstore will sell "Spring 2021 Patriot League South Division CHAMPS" T-Shirts. In your trade the product would spoil before it sold.

I was holding my breath for three weeks. The virus only had to be right once and a hundred or more tier one HC FB personnel had to be perfect. They were. Coach Chesney sure runs a tight ship.

If you count up all the victories the club had over Covid so far they’d be about 20-0.

In the midst of all the other madness going on, somehow this standard for Alma Mater seems to resonate quite nicely: .
"A commitment to excellence in winning on and off the field"

Coach Chesney post-game interview in talking about the Crusaders: "Their commitment is second to none." Says it all but clearly his leadership is tremendous. A lot of athleticism on display out there this afternoon and ultimately a total team effort.
I also very much appreciated his statement that it was too bad that the parents of the Holy Cross players could not have been there. What a total embarrassment on behalf of Bucknell and the Patriot League, especially given the manner in which those in attendance were seated in that one section. That said, let's focus on the VICTORY.
IMO, Winning the Patriot League consistently is not and should not be the ceiling or the goal for the Crusader Football program. There is no reason that the Cross cannot be and should not be a Top Ten FCS program with a very real chance of winning the national championship.
Think Big!!
Holy Cross: in terms of Athletics, A FOOTBALL SCHOOL with the Crusader Football program being one of the vehicles for elevating the Mission and the Vision of Alma Mater overall.
Let Football set the standard for our other teams to operate.
Let's Win!! This post says it all. Congrats to Coach and the Crusaders. A beat down victory. If I'm the rest of the PL I'm singing Chesney's praises to everyone in hopes he gets hired out of the league.

Wondering what took place on each sideline, from watching there appeared to be additional bad blood.

What happened was Holy Cross kicked Bucknell's butts and let them know about it.

Get that part, but it appeared to be a tad more from my perch
Any word on Asante and others sitting out as we go to the playoffs.

Bucknell sucks. They always sucked and their players were always DBags. There was a pretty nasty one-on-one fight at Fitton between Jim Grady and some Bucknell guy. Ended up right against the metal wall near where the cheerleaders are.

He was always the best alumni game captain/motivator. And then he became a big time college basketball official (now retired). Go figure.

This morning, there is only one PL football team that finished the PL season undefeated. Only one PL team that is headed for the NCAA playoffs. Only one PL team that did not have to cancel a single game because of CoVID.
It’s often said that “Defense wins games”. I would posit that our PL champion Holy Cross Crusaders have proven that DISCIPLINE, both on and off the field, is what wins games.
Congratulations to our team for their total commitment to doing what it takes to be a CHAMPION.
