Couldn’t agree more. I enjoy having some Ivies and one or two other OOC games on the schedule. I’d like to see us expand the pool of OOC games to more conferences other than just the Ivy, CAA and NEC. [/qufamilies The University of San Diego would be a treat for the players' families and a competitive challenge for the players and coaches. Nah.....Let's go with a game @stanford like Colgate is doing !

Expect HC to win but.... Concerns as follows: Bucknell has a strong run defense. HC has not had a strong passing game. Our running game picked up with the surprise entry of Sluka into the game. No Sluka surprise in this game. Obviously, Bucknell will zero in on Sluka to try to shut him down. Will HC be able to adjust? The three week forced layoff while Bucknell has been playing & developing its game in real games. Practice is not the same as playing in a real game. HC is young in many key positions. Under the best circumstances consistency is always a concern with younger players. The layoff for this young team has to be a concern. Ultimately, I expect the HC defense will dominate and carry HC to a win in a low scoring game. "Take it to the bank." HA!!! Not that it is gospel, but Degenhardt is listed as the starter going into the game and IF he starts and IF he does well I’m sure he’ll stay in. At the same time I’m hoping this is a ‘keep ‘em guessing’ smokescreen and we see Sluka in there starting but I’m not the coach. Losing Foley is a big blow (he’s our best player IMHO). Not to mention Bucknell has two 1st team all-pL DBs. Not the time for an erratic thrower.

Would feel much better about a ground and pound strategy with Foley in there but should be okay. Sluka obviously creates some problems for the defense.

With the amount of snow expected before this storm ends later into the night, maybe it is a good thing we are not playing this game in Worcester...

With the amount of snow expected before this storm ends later into the night, maybe it is a good thing we are not playing this game in Worcester... Auburn had 3 inches of snow by 8 AM. Highest total so far in Worcester County is from North Ashburnham with 8 inches as of 11 AM. Sometimes, the lord works in mysterious ways. I suspect the last time football was played at a snow-covered Fitton was probably a BC game, which were typically very late November. This reminds me of the men's lacrosse game several years ago when HC beat Loyola in Baltimore in a snowstorm. I think the snow was the equivalent of a 'twelfth man" for HC. (I know, I'm mixing sports with that metaphor.)

I remember very well those snow covered games against BC.

Man, the Bucknell board simply does not care about this game or football in general it seems....not a single post on this game. I've never understood why they were so meh about football in general.

you can look at any other PL board and there is no comparison ! and we know the Lafayette board was eliminated last month - if you look at activity on our board as a barometer of interest, we belong in the CAA or higher tmro's weather at game time: 53 degrees and cloudy with light winds - good football conditions

With the amount of snow expected before this storm ends later into the night, maybe it is a good thing we are not playing this game in Worcester... I'm in a valley with 2 lakes, only about an inch of snow here in East Brookfield, howeverr, if I go 1/2 mile south there is about 5 inches! Crazy accumulations in the area!

Perfect conditions tomorrow in Lewisburg: "Partly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to cloudy skies during the afternoon. High near 55F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph."

Officially, Worcester got 6.8" of snow today... but that is measured at the higher elevation Worcester Airport, a record for the city of Worcester!!! There were much lower totals for lower elevations... saw a clip of Worcester near HC at 6pm and not much snow left on the ground... regardless, if the game were at HC, the ground would have been soft... Getting fired up for tomorrow! CRUSH THE BUCKNELL BISON AND BRING BACK THE PL FOOTBALL TROPHY WHERE IT BELONGS AT HOLY CROSS!!!

HC posted a video that the team left yesterday afternoon before the storm. Heard they stayed in Scranton. Did meetings and walk-throughs today. Some "sightings" of players out looking for the Dunder Mifflin warehouse. Getting the full college-athlete experience. I expect they will be ready to play!

Worcester Airport reported 1.37 inches of melted precipitation as of 8 AM today. With what has fallen since and will fall still, the storm total will probably amount to the equivalent of two inches of rain, --or 20 inches of snow if it was all snow. Would be a soft track at Fitton on Saturday if the game was in Worcester.

Paging Bison 137. Report in to your home away from home please. If Bucknell wins, he’ll be on before the scoreboard turns off. If we roll, he “wasn’t able to see the game, but Bucknell had a lot of injuries.”

FYI - ESPNU will be airing a live FCS Football Playoff Selection Show at 11:30AM on Sunday (Channel 900 on Comcast). If we win tomorrow (or should I say when we win), our playoff seeding and first round opponent will be disclosed at that time.

We have to make up for that awful home loss to Bucknell in 2018. Worst officiated game ever.

I apologize if someone covered this earlier--not looking at prior pages to determine is that's the case
RUSHING
Bucknell 2.4 yards per carry for 75 yards per game Holy Cross 5.3 yards per carry for 205 yards per game
RUSHING DEFENSE
Bucknell 1.9 yards per carry for 41 yards per game Holy Cross 1.8 yards per carry for 55 yards per game
PASSING
Bucknell 6.2 yards per attempt and 209 yards per game Holy Cross 4.1 yards per attempt and 81 yards per game--unbelievably weak and must improve
PASSING DEFENSE
Bucknell yielded 7.1 yards per attempt and 257 yards per game Holy Cross yielded 7.1 yards per attempt and 277 yards per game
THIRD DOWN CONVERSIONS
Bucknell 10/43= 23% woeful Holy Cross 13/27= 48%
THIRD DOWN DEFENSE
Bucknell 8/35= 23% very very good Holy Cross 14/34= 41%
RED ZONE TD'S
Bucknell 2/7 Holy Cross 4/9
RED ZONE TD DEFENSE
Bucknell 2/7 Holy Cross 1/5
I didn't look closely at the kicking game/special teams
I'd really like to see us get the passing game in gear

One key point that I don’t believe has been brought up yet is that Asante will be playing this week. Hopefully his return will help spark the passing game. GO CROSS GO!
