I'm assuming Simone and Janie are signing today. Haven't seen anything yet.

Would like to see us go after Bill Walker’s daughter, Kyndal a sophomore at St John’s in DC. They are a top 10 national team. Saw her play once and she reminds me of Bill in the way she plays Pretty sure this is Brian Reale's daughter. Liked the way her dad played, too. www.hudl.com/profile/14340567/Samantha-RealeBabson bound, as it turns out. Wondering if anyone had any info on how far HC went with a player named Selina Monestime; Framingham; signed with U Albany. HC was listed as "offered" in her list of schools. Hard for me to tell if what she does on the court would translate to an effective D1 player; wouldn't surprise me if HC had (and signed) better options than her...then again, she can shoot the rock.

She can pretty much go wherever she wants.

Does the NCAA allow the incoming freshmen to go on the Ireland trip? How about a senior who just graduated before the trip?

The Bucknell board has a post about former UConn centers, Rebecca Lobo and Kara Wolters having daughters playing h.s. basketball - both are tall centers but apparently not power conference prospects. I know that Rebecca is a part time asst at Northwest Catholic (Hartford) where her daughter, Siobhan attends - anyone know what year she is and if we have interest - famous story about Lobo's recruitment was that HC was close the getting her before Geno stepped in.

Rushin is a senior, I think her main sport is VB, but can't find anything on a commitment

Rushin is her husband's surname I believe

Correct, and it is the name Siobhan goes by.

Pretty sure Siobhan gave up basketball a few years ago. There are two more girls and a boy. The middle girl, Maeve, is a junior and plays at Northwest Catholic. She’s pretty good for that level but I don’t thinks she’s a D1 player. The youngest girl is in 7th grade. The boy is probably the best player. I think he’s a freshman.

Has anyone followed Bachmann and Lewis through their senior seasons ? Can either one help out with ball handling next season (I think doubtful as both are 6'0")
I'm already nervous about ball handling next season given our turnover issues this season and Cross graduating I wonder if the staff is looking to possibly bring in a point guard to take some of the pressure off Flanagan and McCormack - otherwise we are going to be very vulnerable to pressure defense

Seen a few of Bachmann's games, decent handle, Lewis is more of mystery. I suspect if they were to add a player, a scorer of big might be the first priority. Cara is ok, just tries to make too many difficult passes inside. I suspect one of the current players, Munt or Huber might get more time next season, Munt is a decent ballhandler.

Cara is not ok, imo - just look at her decision making in recent close games - she's only 5'3" so she has to be extra crafty when handling the ball and making passes against pressure Well, I guess we'll see - can we agree she will have to improve going forward ?

Sure, she needs to make better decisions, sometimes she gets out of control, needs to improve

In one game recently, she had 10 pts and 6 rebs. In another, she was not one of three on her team who scored in double digits but was credited with controlling the boards in the 4th quarter.

McCormack. 45 assists, 49 turnovers
Flanagan 80 and 60
Both are poor ratios. McCormack - flat out not good

Flanagan is #3 in the PL with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.3, behind Johnson (BU) 1.5 & leader Harvey (Lehigh) 2.1.

She ranks 197 in the nation. It's not a good ratio.

I love CM's spirit and hustle, but I don't see her as a point guard. She tends to dribble too much and drives into the redwoods and finds herself with nowhere to go. I think Flanagan has a big upside, but she has to go through the difficult learning curve that many D1 point guards experience.

She ranks 197 in the nation. It's not a good ratio. Didn't say it was, simply pointing out where she stands in comparison to others in the PL.

And I didn't say you said it was. Simply stating it wasn't a good ratio. Nonetheless it's a recruiting thread and I'll get back to topic at hand.
