Beating BC in 1942..... to start the parade.
Beating Syracuse when Ernie Davis was on their team would be another in 1958.
Holy Cross vs Georgia, October 14, 1939,

87 -- I forgot to put in my picks as I was away for the weekend traveling out for the game.
If allowed, would it be possible to count my picks from the AGS pick 'em thread?

87 -- I forgot to put in my picks as I was away for the weekend traveling out for the game. If allowed, would it be possible to count my picks from the AGS pick 'em thread? Absolutely....just repost this them here. What did you think of Brookings etc? If anyone has a chance to attend a playoff game in the Dakotas or Montana, it's an absolute must. Hopefully we'll be back but a plane trip halfway across the country for an early-round playoff game is the exception not the rule. It's amazing how many "subway alumni" these schools have -- locals who didn't attend the school but have been to every home game for 25 years. Very friendly, welcoming people. As far as the town, not a whole lot to it but it was lively both pre-and-post game. Was great to be able to hang out in a bar FULL of football fans on Saturday, with no distancing restrictions. As far as the game, we hung in there despite the ugly box score. Against the #1 team, by no means were we dominated at the line of scrimmage. As far as raw talent and athletic ability, the Monmouth game in 2019 was actually more of a mismatch. While we couldn't capitalize on a handful of opportunities driving into SDSU territory, you never felt that any given series we couldn't move the chains. On defense, we basically allowed two big plays + the muffed punt. We forced the Jackrabbits to punt 5 times which is a nice feather in the cap to our D. Once Sluka is able to confidently throw the ball downfield and open up the offense, watch out. Not going to project a Frisco appearance by any means, but I really think Chesney will deliver our first FCS playoff win by Fall 2022.

I think you'll find the "subway alum" factor to be strong in many, many states outside of New England. Certainly the South and Midwest are that way

Regions without major league sports teams also have an advantage of less competition for local fans' attention.
