HC 3-15 all time vs FBS time to change that "WIN" record on Saturday! Thanks RGS

Won't the record be changed no matter who wins, as long as they pay one more FBS team?

Note that two of the sophs on the two-deep (Brian Vaganek and Declan McCauley) did not get into any games last season--so, either (1) injured last year and healthy now or (2) moved forward a lot physically or talent-wise since then

I have been told by more than one person close to the team, however, that the 2-deep that was issued yesterday is very fluid and should not necessarily be all that reliable as far as how players will actually rotate into the game tomorrow. Example: Both players on the 2- deep at WS are seniors, but neither has started a game in 3 years and for the most part have been primarily special team players.

Anybody making the trip tomorrow to East Hartford? Hope to see a good amount of HC fans. I am. Was thinking today that I don’t think I’ve gotten a communication about the game for a month. Would think they’d send another reminder blast the week of the game to maximize the HC crowd.

It’s fun to talk about but I’m not too worried about the first depth chart. All that matters is who plays during the games. We’ll all find out tomorrow.

Any idea if the team is going to a hotel tonight? I know we used to do this in the 80s (even for home games).....costly I know but I think it's worth it.

I will be there. HC will win the game. They beat them the last time too, before the stripes took the game away!

So, 81, you’re assuring us that the stripes won’t do that again tomorrow?

I think the general practice in these pandemic days is to try and minimize hotel stays. The college calendar for today has a football banquet from 6 to 7:30. Don't know if they do pep rallies anymore.

Did the players walk across the Ho Jo's parking lot to the game? Maybe this hotel expense is something that MB nixed and it contributed to the alleged rift with the FB program. I say why diminish the benefit of a local game by spending on a hotel. Put the savings into the coach retention account.

Agreed. Getting $425K for playing this game is nice, but there is a big difference between leasing an extra bus to transport the entire team to UConn vs. putting 90+ players up for the night at a hotel for a game that is only a 1 hour bus ride away.

Intent was to cut down on distractions around campus on a Friday night (late night parties in dorms etc), have the team together for last-minute meetings etc....maybe it's anachronistic today but I think it was pretty beneficial. The team stayed at some hotel/motel in Sutton or Auburn I believe for home games.
I think HC was a bit wilder on (and off) campus back in the '80s...may be no need for it today.

Just have Coach Chesney walk into the dorms at 10PM and clear his throat. Lights out.

Way back in the day, I would always bet against HC if it was a HC Homecoming game.

UConn -3.5 Total 51.5 (down from 53) As atrocious that Conn is, this still shows good respect for HC from the wiseguys right here.
